Classic Padres

Is it deja vu all over again?...the classic response to failure in the San Diego Padre system...the BLAME GAME!...over the past 15 seasons, that the Horse has followed the franchise...when the wins become harder and harder to get...the axe has fallen on the coaches, not the manager, nor the GM...usually the first to go is the hitting coach...OMG!...however, this time around, it is the pitching coach...'a new voice needs to be heard'....I have repeatedly said this, that the coaches can only work with what they have been saddled with...thrice, this GM has changed direction in how he has put players on the field...BUT, listen kids...the latest scheme is to put offensive guys out there...OK, at the expense of having quality pitchers...somehow, the brass thinks that changing pitching coaches is gonna make them pitch better?...bah humbug...you KNOW where I am going with this...this GM has had ample time to do his thing...it has not worked...and it is time for HIM to go...

At the very worst time possible, the Bums come to town...riding a 9 game win streak...we have been losing...we have had a closed door players meeting...(how'd that work?)...we have pitchers that are either ineffective, or injured...fired the pitching coach...and yet, somehow, expect a turnaround by the guys left...to make matters even worse, the Bums bring a huge contingency of fans...that make Petco seem blue, all over again...

I'm a sport guy today...the PGA playoffs continued in NY...as the nice guy, Tony Finau, won the Northern Trust...in OT, as the opponent hit his tee shot OB...on the first hole...it's been 5 years since Tony has won...and I have written about this a year or so ago...that he has actually made more scratch than the Shark  (Greg Norman) did on tour....the $ has escalated, my good friends...

After MY round yesterday, I passed on having a brewskie...got cleaned up and was about to head on home...when the Lexus wouldn't start...not the battery...like it wasn't getting fuel...lord...try as I may, figured that a towing was imminent...however, beneath where the keys go in, there is a button...that says '2nd start'...never touched the bloody thing...did not know what it was for...now, I know...I tried it...VOILA!...the rig came to life...and today, we take it to the Lexus Dr. to get it all checked out...

Phenomenal amounts of people getting flown out of Kabul yesterday...we are trying...

This is like a pandemic issue...cuz we are staying home and cooking...rather than going out...our thoughts go out to fixing new stuff...any ideas that you have that are fun to cook and eat?...
