Updates!


How many times do you see this?...UPDATES are needed for your computer...phone...watch...so, I do them...'they' say it is for increased security...and or to make the device operate more smoothly...and so on...I have no idea if it does...the updating...on the computer, it does take a lot longer than the other two...yea, did one last eve...that took over an hour...for the life of moi, I can't tell a bit of difference...perhaps, slower...even...

Add to that...the iPad...which takes so many of those UPDATES...that by the time I get to them...the iPad is so out of date, it is almost not usable...have the mini, which is somewhat larger...bigger...ah, in square cm's than the iPhone plus...I dunno, it is what I write on when on vacay...don't get me started on battery life...

Very interesting...the plight of the Bums...as they are getting hammered at home by the very surprising Giants of SF...most, if not all, of the experts...pundits...know-it-alls (fake word)...analysts...sports writers...well, baseball ones...say that LA is the best team in MLB...hmmm, really?...and over on the other coast, the very right one...in Florida...the mighty Padres got game 1 vs them Marlins...one at a time, kids...one at a time...


In the last 10 years or so...schools, colleges, universities, high schools...have taken a weird turn...totally sports induced...changing league structures...in colleges, they have gone absurd...when it comes to figuring who should be in the champ series of whatever...the BIG conferences get the advantage...the latest?...Oklahoma and Texas want to move to the highly heralded SEC...will there be a day, that the football will be different than all other sports?...just one elite conference...let's see...Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio St, USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, and one to be named...Oregon?...Michigan?...Penn St?...

The Olympics in Japan have begun...is this the truth?...that 100 out of 600 athletes we sent over, have NO VACCINATIONS?....WTH?...c'mon, folks...if you can't fly into Hawaii without the shots, how on earth can you go to Japan?...man, even the Republicans are saying to get them...now...

Who doesn't like a quick burger for lunch?...it's almost un-American...in my youth, there was this place called Bob's...terrific...they folded and one had to search...where do you go?...In-n out?...Mickey D's?...Wendy's?...Jack in the Box?...Carls' Jr?...what say you?...

Masks...do you or don't you?...we did our final shop for the RV yesterday at Von's (Safeway other states)...I would estimate that 50% were wearing them...does that mean, they are NOT vaccinated?...or, don't trust others?...

We begin our Cosmo excursion today...I will take pix along the way...try to post as much as possible...the sights of the beautiful west coast...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
