THE Comeback

Must talk about this one...the mighty Padres...coming off a humiliating blowout loss to the Washington Nationals...a 15-5 shellacking...embarrassing...yea, you got it...then, with our ace Yu on the hill...figure this one to be a donnybrook...like 2-1...something like that...unfortunately, the Nat's have their best going too, Scherzer...ah, that's why I was thinking a low scoring affair...

The Nationals started fast and furiously, again...ripping Yu like he was a rookie...and were up 8-0...yes, I said EIGHT to nil...looked like another hopeless night...the one thing that was curious...another jammed pack crowd at Petco...the people here, believe...things started to change, and the fans let the players hear it...got really loud!...

Jr hit a solo HR, his 28th...and it was 8-1...nice, but ho hum...we then get a bases loaded walk...and it's 8-2...after a K, we send up our current pitcher...who seemingly hast to bat, in another blow out loss...many are thinking, why not pinch hit here?...what's wrong with management?...grrr...Scherzer was embattled, but really coasting...he is one of the top tier pitchers in the league...this will be an easy out for him...

Daniel Camarena...îs the dude's name...been wallowing in the minors for 11 years...and finally gets a call to the Bigs, due to the number of pitching injuries this Friar group has...he is a San Diegan, to boot...2 strikes and he is protecting...as he said later, "I just didn't want to strike out"...this next is legendary...something that he does, that hasn't happened since 1898...what?...yes, you heard me right...1898!!!...

He gets a hit...this pitcher gets his first MLB hit EVER...a HOME RUN!!!...even better...a GRAND SLAM!!!...Slam Diego...the crowd goes NUTS!... it is now 8-6 and the term used always in sports...and politics...MOMENTUM has switched...unbelievable...

The Pads come back and win the game...9-8, on a walk off hit by Trent Grisham...these are things that we shall remember forever...the Daniel Camarena game...

Have a super Friday!...
