PANIC at the Ball Yard


The scene...a MLB game in DC...seemingly rushed due to the oncoming lightning storm...as the mighty Padres were cruising to an 8-4 lead over the hometown Senators...and SUDDENLY, there was a mad dash of patrons...like fans...to the exits...well, off the field level...the announcers were confused as there was no lightning nor thunder...what was happening?...GUN SHOTS!...

PANIC at the Ball Yard!!!

Where to go?...it's not like mass shootings are new to this country...both dugouts welcomed people to exit through their safety spots...SCARY!...after the mass uncertainty was somewhat solved...the DC Police said it was just outside of the park...like, RIGHT outside...3 people were shot...DRIVE BY?...still uncertain...they did say that they could exit thru the outfield gates...unfortunately, we see too many of these things...

The game was suspended...duh...as part of a DH this am...

Over in Phoenix, a much different thang...as the Bucks went into the Zona land and got the W...the first to break the home field advantage...NBA...now lead the series, 3-2...gosh, the game itself is brutal...one on one...pick and roll...stand and shoot...missing is the beauty of the patterns...the flow is GONE!...seriously, anyone could coach this play...it is a JOKE!...

Looks like I am only talking sport...well, sort of...the Open...Looie has got to win this...he is the steady hand and has been in so many of these spots...Jordan finished round 3 choking the last 2 holes and is 3 back...as of this am, 4 back now...as he is going the wrong way...Brooks made a charge, ending at -8...tied with Looie, is Morikawa...at -11...and so it goes...

This is an absolute FOOL!...the guv of Florida, DeSantis...as the state is currently 4 times the national average of new Covid cases!...and his slogan is 'Don't Fauci my Florida'...yes, kids, this is the bloke who leads trump for the new Republican leadership...oh my...

Think we might have a problem in LA County?...the Sheriff Dept says they will NOT enforce the new mask mandate indoors, brought on by the political leaders...their comment was 'it is not backed by science'...who is the leader?...

Finally, the video of Tatis, Machado, and Myers...opening up the gate and letting the people escape via the Padre dugout...tells you a bit more about these guys...and fellow human beings....

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
