New To Us


What started as a whim...turned out to be a real find...a trip to Temecula's wine country...about an hour north of us down here in San Diego...seeking to stay the nite at South Coast Winery...however, it was totally sold out...the receptionist there recommended the next door site of Ponte Winery...they each had hotels...albeit, not cheap...it was a surprise of surprises...

Immaculate as it could be...ie, a terrific pool and hot tub...having 2 restaurants and bars...extremely friendly staff...and the rooms were as nice as we have ever stayed in...total class...and after a brief walk thru the vineyards, was the tasting room...and their exceptional restaurant...as per usual, we joined their wine club...awesome discounts prevail...which covers all over the complex, ie, the Hotel...

The din din we had was incredible...I had a filet and Marsh had the salmon...topped it off with a better than ever strawberry shortcake...with some really fine red wine from Ponte...just a great getaway from work...wait, we don't work...well, we got away from here...thx again to them miracle Mackles who took the dawg under their wings...

I must say, kids...if you are in the area, this is a MUST do...it is that good...

You see the score of the Saturday Bums/DBacks game?...LA did a pouring it on jobbee...hit 3 td's en route to a 22-1 lambasting of Arizona...

It is a truth...the Olympics in Japan will have no fans...

Even tho, the losses to Buddy's Rocks hurt, the 53 wins for the 1st half, is the 2nd most in SD history...

I understand it is preOly...but for the USA to lose to Nigeria in hoops is embarrassing...right?...

Gosh, for some reason, Hos been getting hammered on social media...quit that dudes...he's a good player, in a game that fluctuates like no other...

I get that many in the world, love soccer...the Horse does not...playing that long...and have a game end nil-nil...no way buddy...now, to play it...like I had a college class of it...it was fun to play....but watch it?...nope...

A mass shooting at the Denver All Star game was thwarted!...what is wrong with people?...lock 'em up for a long time...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
