It's ALWAYS the Stick

The International field of dreams...the Open...Britain...playing on a course that we rarely have in the states...like 18 holes cut out of a field...that often one has a blind shot to the green...and those things they call the greens...quite often are faster than fast...if the wind is up...beautiful in it's own way...however, so diff than what the blokes play on over here...thus, it's fun to watch...

This course...this year...this time...is not long as we think of major championship courses...yea so, the big boppers have been tamed...the dude who prides himself in hitting the rock ridiculous amounts of yards...Bryson DeChamboo...can't keep his ball in play...and after round 1...blamed his high score on the stick...his driver...especially made for him by the Cobra Company...think they weren't pissed?...listen, kids...it's always the stick and can't possibly be the hitter...

Switching over to beisbol...another alarming setback...as the Yankees/Red Sox were to be the premiere game of the day...ah, the only one...before the rest of the league kicks into action today...it was canceled...6 NY players tested positive for the Covid 19!!!...didn't that team boast they were the 1st team to be totally inoculated?...the rumor is that they got their vaccine thru the Johnson & Johnson one dose thang...something tells me there is more to the story...

The Japan Olympics...more of the scare of the Covid...it is rampant there...be safe all...choose Pfizer or Moderna...they are available EVERYWHERE...do it and protect each other...man, this is absolutely bewildering to think that some say it is harmful to GET the shots...

I have read the first chapters of the trump's last days books...that you can do, before buying on ebooks...oh my...if true...allegedly...highly reported...amazing that so many people blindly follow the bloke...still...years from now, the people will talk about when he was in office...

One more thang on the MLB AS Game...how on earth can a player be on it, batting under .200?...granted he did hit a tater...and did have the luckiest bounce of all time, as a catcher...as the ball went THROUGH his legs (passed ball) and yet bounced right back to him via the brick wall...and threw out the runner!...oops, one more...one of the Yankees that tested positive for the Covid was all over the park at the all star game...everyone, shall be tested that was there...right?...ah, players and reporters...if they have not already been inoculated...apparently J&J may not count...

The mighty Padres are on a roadie...starting with DC...the Sheriff is going...he is either dang good, or perfectly awful...nothing in between...

The past weekend, we happened on the record store in Hillcrest...bought a bountiful bunch to add to my library of vinyls...great spot, BTW...two that were brand spanking new...haven't opened this one yet...'Doo Wop Memories'...a 2 record set that looks fabulous...also, got a couple of vintage Grace Slick...a duet vinyl of Barry Gibb (Greenfields)...weird, as it only has 3 out of 4 sides cut...one is empty...a BJ Thomas...and a Jay and the Americans...

So, this am, I am going to see the Doc about my achilles...passing on the golf...which is really really hard to do...well, both things...

LA County...is reversing itself...as there are increased numbers of Covid...to mandating masks inside again...egads...I threw one of my gooduns away....the rest of Cali is not on this, but I am wary...

Del Mar race track is indeed opening today...awesome weather...too...you MUST have a seat to get in...pre-bought jobbie...I will wait a few days before I get out there...the Horse likes the horses...duh...
