Dependable?


I was lying in bed this am, thinking 'how do they get away with this?'....talking the Cox Cable...as their service was down for some 'outage'...ah, somewhere...'don't try to re-ping the system'...so, one might think that whenever they 'solve' the issue...there should be a rebate for the time not operating...it is not cheap, as most of you know...

Some how, and I do mean somehow...the cable came on to allow one station...the Padre feed at Cincy...fine for moi, but torture for the lil wurman....as the mighty Padres won game 1 in Ohio...for you in the know, a relief pitching game...as our starter was ill...and our bats were kinda sickly, too...with runners on base...we stranded like 16!...but, still got the W, 5-4...

The upcoming 4th of July weekend...many states are banning fireworks due to the brittle conditions out there...we still have ours, over the bay...which means thousands and thousands of peops...will inhabit our area for the nite...here at the home, there is to be a big bash...weenies and burgers...the official 1st time for a gathering, without masks...and social distancing...

Not really sure what this means...but I do have a clue...we have held some bombastic parties over the past 10 years so, here at the home...and NOT ONCE, have we been invited to some one else's...it HAS to be moi, as Marsh is the belle of the ball...ha ha...poor poor pitiful me, as Linda Ronstadt would wail...have to think the majority of these inhabitants are Repubs...and maybe I am too indigenous for some...can't be that I am too indignant and pompous...no way...

The latest tally on the horrific building collapse...12 dead, and 149 still unaccounted for...

Anyhoo, we are off to see the kids for a brief visit...trying to outdo the holiday traffic...er, thru LA...which I just read has been replaced as the worst car traffic spot in the USA...New Jersey/NY has 'WON' that honor, now...

Another reading...that one of the NBA analysts (Stephen Smith) called the Clip Joint coach, Ty Lue, as the best hoops coach in basketball...give me a break....there are 100+ better coaches in the college and high school ranks...'get the ball to _____, and get outta the way'...great coaching...

I have an early tee time this am...really early...7:19!...gots to finish this up and get outta here...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
