Collapse?


The tragic COLLAPSE of a mid rise condo in Miami...so many questions, and fewer answers...at this time, the report is that there are 4 dead and 159 unaccounted for...12 stories, that just gave way...do buildings do this?...like, we live in a 35 story condo...hmmm...

There are speculations...that the building had been sinking for years...gradually...yes, we are in a Global Warming period of time...might this have been the undoing of the structure?...nobody has even come close to calling it sabotage...apparently, no signs of this...so, it has to be the gradual deterioration of land...right?...


We have had an immense amount of death and dying in the past couple of years... for reasons that seemingly are out of our control....from the Covid Virus, to the assault rifle used shootings, to the absurd wars of people, and now to this sort of thing...perhaps, the earth giving way...listen, to all people, we must be better...

Rudy Guliani, the former minister of madness, has had his lawyer tag, removed...at least suspended in the state of NY...in essence for lying...what a bizarre FALL from grace this bloke has been on...from a mayor that had people following him after 9/11...all the way down to trying to save trump...you make your own choices...

The mighty Padres had a day off after the sweep of the Bums...egads, LA did not...and got no hit by 3 pitchers of da Cubbies...guess they took the day off, too....but, in a different way...anyhoo, the DBacks are in town for a set...

We had an invite to join the marvelous Martins in Vegas...I know, we were just there...but, it was too good to pass up...comped all 3 days in the stay...for our birthdays...hers and mine...whatever excuse we can come up with...staying at the MGM this time...

Tried to watch the NBA game with the Clip Joint/ Suns...just an ugly ugly match...did I tell you it was ugly?...pick and roll...missile launching that was missing their target...ugly...ah, the home team won...LA...and not the Lakers...

Yesterday I told you of my past love for Hostess fruit pies...now, I confess to the donut...guess it's the indigenous part of me, that lurves sugar...I blame that on you white eyes...

Saw a great quote by the Blazers Dame Lillard...in essence...'pressure, do we play under pressure?...the street person looking for his next meal...the single mother trying to make ends meet...that is pressure...we get paid a lot of money to PLAY hoops...that is NOT pressure'...I like this dude, a lot...

Another take...talking to a guy from our building that has been accosted thrice while walking his dog...passed a homeless, who just was being moved on by security...'something has to be done, he said...some jerk stole my shoes...' he was barefoot...and seemed like a decent guy...the 3 time accosted guy, said 'what size do you wear?'....'9 1/2'...'stay here and I will get you a pair'...he did...

Another one of my faithful readers has past...the Shink...and there is a tribute to him, at the high school he taught at...which triggers this, why don't we honor these people when they are alive?...of course, Shink, you will be missed...

Finally, the area of the building that collapsed, showed signs of sinking in the 1990's...I repeat, the 1990's...this is called subsidence...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
