This Is A Test

Probably the worst word in the dictionary to any student, driver, person at a Dr's office...TEST!...this is a TEST!...to measure something, anything, but, it must have some important meaning, right?...early on, what you have supposedly learned...then when, you think you have mastered how to drive a vehicle...and then, in your later years...if you are gonna live a bit longer...shoot, and add to that list, if you wanna fly to Hawaii...after taking the 2 Covid shots, you STILL have to take another TEST...to see if ya'll have Covid...just why are we taking the shots anyhoo?...and THEN, assuming you PASSED...after you arrive to the Island State, you have to take another Covid TEST again!!!....what?...you might have picked it up, with all aboard who took and passed the TEST, too?...damn it all, give it a rest...

I bet the Derby every which way but loose...the winner, Medina Spirit, I had as a 2nd place hoss...never in the top spot...egads...as you know Charlie, was my main pick...finished a closing 3rd...which paid me zilch...I had $20 on the 2nd place Mandaloun...a nice 25-1 shot...but had nothing on it to come in 2nd...let's just say, that the prognostication biz was bad...how I could leave a Baffert out of a win is beyond comprehension...his 7th winner...egads...the Horse flunked this TEST!...

The mighty Padres have won two thus far over the SF Giants, in a HUGE TEST for this franchise...and are closing in on the top spot of the west...now this is a good thing...terrific pitching and timely hitting...isn't that the essence of beisbol?...still, the strike zone is a bewildering topic this season...and yes, SD Mgr, time to sit the big whiffer, Wil Myers...we have better on the bench waiting to get their chance...

Shootings in Louisiana and at a casino in Wisconsin...ho hum, more of the same...maybe the Repubs are right...let's arm everybody and have an old fashioned shoot out, everywhere...as the politicians, who can make a difference, if not paid by the NRA...say, 'our thoughts and prayers go out to ______'...same old shit...SOS...

51,838 attended the Derby...did you see any masks?...fuggit about social distancing...Kentucky must be OPEN!...and away we go...

Recall when we all charted what we got MPG with our cars and trucks, er vans, and SUV's?...the Horse still does...getting 21.5 with the old (new to us) Beetle...that's good, right?...using regular gas...which is still $4 a gallon...at least in Cali...what is YOUR price?...

The first time I took an eye TEST, was back in high school...done in a PE class...true...and when the 'aide' asked me to cover my left eye and read the chart...all, he did was cackle like I have never heard before...Lute Barnes...I couldn't see anything on the sheet...thought it was a trick Q...that he turned over, cuz we were hoopsters together...it was not...I failed again...that, after I tried to memorize the letters, before hand...ah, needed specs...

The bills are paid, the dog is washed, the car is full of petrol, the golf clubs are in the back seat, the new (old) putter is in the LR, the coffee is hot and dark, and we have Star donuts awaiting...is there anything better?...
