Look Up!

With the unsettling news out of China, that their rocket may come down in shambles...like debris...some where...anywhere...they don't know...makes you be a bit pessimistic about going out this weekend...case in point, the young lady who lost her life...this past week...as she was walking on the streets of downtown San Diego...and a jumper landed on her, and took her life...LOOK UP!...the last time I heard that, was when the TV sitcom, 'Superman' was running it's mega hit on the air waves...that's the way the promo started...funny, odd, what you remember...'Look up, in the sky...it's a bird, no a plane, no a rocket, perhaps a jumper...no, it's Superman!'

Not sure about YOUR area of living...but, we are still in the 'orange tier'...the powers to be say, until we open up EVERYTHING on June 15...with the Covid numbers way down, the obvious conclusion is that the vaccinations are working...CVS and Walgreens are saying that you no longer need an appt to get one...just walk in...your excuses for not getting it, are dwindling, kids...do it...

Call me masochistic...but, I will watch at end, the LaLa Lakers get beat...last nite, it was the stable mate of theirs in Los Angeles...the Clip Joint...in a rout...from first to the worst...love it...hey, tonite, the Lakers play the PDX Blazers...in a game that probably determines who gets the advantage in the playoffs...in this last week of the reg season...

Up there in SF...the mighty Padres take on the Giants in a telling series...well, at this juncture in the season...big games...as we play better on the road, 9-4...why is that?...shoot, it's beisbol...maybe we have more success in colder weather...naw, I dunno...

The jobs numbers came out...and they were not what 'they' thought...geez, I can never see how they judge those anyhoo...ah, they were much lower...who's to blame?...somebody has to be the culprit...right, politicians?...

The Futures say a huge day for the Market...well now, let's just see how this indicator really works...

Hmmm, a shooting in Idaho at a school...middle school...the shooter was a 6th grade girl...wounding two students and a custodian...what on earth are we doing about this?...day after day...guns guns guns...

Nicole Kidman to play Lucy...like 'I Love Lucy'...man, that is quite a task...I can see the resemblance, but the voice...hard for her to do, I would think...we shall see how good an actress she is...

The Best album of the day...'What's Going On' by Marvin Gaye...listen, kids...not so much for it's entirety, but for the way it was made...the timing of it...there were some key songs, that were and are...indicative of a society at that era of time...

For youse baseballers...back when Albert Pujols jumped the Saint Looey Cards ship...and took the money and landed in LA at the Angels yard...seemed ludicrous that the team would give him a 10 year contract...still seems so to moi...and now, it is in his swan song years of playing...and at the end of his 10 yrs...the club is releasing him...out to pasture...sad in a way, but he has lots of scratch to make his life very very comfortable...

It's 'mothers day' weekend...don't forget, you kids...ah, right...'she's not my mother'...doesn't really work...as, in the next month she can use 'he's not my father'...
