Israel/Palestine

The Middle East...always a hotbed...right?...well, it's back at it again...this time between Israel and Palestine...yes, again...ever since the country was formed there, Israel has been a thorn to the Palestinians...right after the Second World War...er, WWII...as the Jewish nation was abandoning Europe, with a home to search...as the Germans were set to annihilate the people...you know all this...

Did you know the US blocked a ship of them from coming into our land?...as they were in exploration for a place to live...900 passengers of the M.S. St. Louis...1939...which also tried to land in Cuba, to no avail...as they were trying to evade the inevitable in Germany, by Hitler's Nazis...the ship then rerouted back to Germany...where a third of them were killed...and the rest were interned into concentration camps there...you can imagine their fate...

Point is, that the Jewish people have since become very strong willed...and since basing themselves in the piece of land they call Israel, they will not be conquered again...yes, again...and are one of the strongest nations, militarily there is in the World...witness the unbelievable 'Iron Dome' that they have set up to destroy missiles shot their way...I saw a vid of this in action, yesterday...as Palestine is firing them towards the country....unbelievable!...

Sometimes, we get lost in our own problems...that seem huge in our life...but, when you see what the Middle East has to deal with, our situation appears mighty tame...

Like...the Republicans in their daffy effort to rid themselves of the 'leadership' of Liz Cheney...lord, more of the trumpism, that they are engulfed in...I suppose if that is the fight that they want to waste their energy on, it is better than other thangs...a commentary here....but, if you want to get into the right direction...you would find someone to lead you...other than donny q...you kids are smarter than this...I just know you are...

The mighty Padres got rained out in Denver...and that game will be part of a DH on Wednesday...a pair of 7 inning ones...booo...another bad new rule...listen, MLB, if you are going to go back to high school rules, add the re-entry rule too...where you can take a bloke out, replace him, and then bring him back later on...ha ha...why not?...you already have made a mockery of the game...

The NBA...the Golden St Warriors have clinched a playoff spot in the play in thing...and, it sure looks like the LeBron Lakers will be part of it, too...as he fires the dude who invented it...well now, maybe not...not sure if I like it, but I do like the one and done hoops game...as witnessed last eve, where the players were actually playing defense...it was fun to watch...

OK, for you former basketball coaches...with the present way of the 'offense' in the game...nobody has come up with a sound way to defend it...isn't the concept of help side, going out the window?...you have to have better 1 on 1 on the ball D, and take away the lob to the corners...nobody does this...ha ha...especially the Blazers, who play nuttin but sag, and I can't call it defense...

Borrowing this from a gal on the web net...'how do you restore your body back to factory settings?'...gosh, that is funny...at me age, it is a miracle...ha ha...

Speaking of that, I should NOT have golfed yesterday...as my achilles has been re-injured...stupid is as stupid does...I am now in the hoping for a miracle mode, before we fly out to Maui...

JLo does move fast...wasn't it just last week, that she and ARod fell out of the engagement thing?...now, she is already hooking back up with her former beau, Ben Affleck...well, we are in this age thing again...you only have so many good years left, before the factory settings are out of reach...

The BEST album of the day...'Surrealistic Pillow' by the Jefferson Airplane...I dare you to find a better song than 'White Rabbit'...or, 'Somebody to Love'...case closed...

I still DON'T know what hash tagging is...can some body 'splain it to me?...

I just spent five good minutes looking for my glasses, so I could properly proof read this blog...they were on my forehead...
