Tuesday Tidbits


Reports are out that at least half of the USA has had at least one vaccine shot for the Covid thang...which means we are on the right track...are you one of them, who refuse to get it?...you are only hurting yourself...there are options, there are different ones available, and there are many sites that will administer it...DO IT!...

The Chauvin trial is indeed in deliberation...and, as I led with yesterday, we need to brace ourselves for the VERDICT!...the fact that it is going on longer than I originally thought...makes me wonder...seems like no one is making predictions on this....they, ah we, are all waiting for our system to work...

Both the mighty Padres and the LaLa Bums lost their next games...figured it...as after a much ballyhooed series is over, there is a letdown...especially in beisbol, where there are so many games played...we, SD, are not hitting the rock...we will, in time...just gotta catch fire...

The Chargers...the NFL team that left SD...for 'greener' pastures in LA...are so mismanaged by the present owners, that they are deeply in debt now...as the occupants of this fantastic city, they were highly respected, attended to, and cherished...the owner, a real jerk, thought he could just uproot the team...and make more scratch...

Some body put a ring around the hole yesterday...as I had some great opps for birdies, that I missed...it couldn't be, naw, that I am inept...maybe I should try left handed...yes, I had 6 'makable' birdie putts, and went ofer...OK, I know how the Pads felt yesterday at the plate...

You see the Colorado judge who just resigned due to her lack of control using the N word?...at first, I thought it might have been a one on one talk with a 'co-worker'...but, since, I have seen that she has history of racial divide...and I say, good bye and good riddance...

The worst, the very worst...the bad, the very bad...song of the day...and yet, so cute...but, very bad...bad I tell ya...by Herman and his Hermits...'I'm Henry the 8th'...catchy, sure...but, awful...Mrs.Brown I dig, but this ditty, NOOOOOO!...

As we all age...one thing that happens much more frequently...at nite...the snore...some people even go to the extremes, and sleep in separate rooms....some wear a machine...some wear nose thangers...some wear ear plugs...I luv the idear that some people make fun of others when they hear the roar...you see, I figure they do, too...and if not now, soon...has anyone ever wrote a song about snoring?...

Idol is doing a stupid thing...bringing back 10 former contestants from last year...and having a fan vote to get them in for THIS season...this while, they just dropped 3 from the present crop...2 which were dang good...bad, Idol, bad...

Marsh is in the planning stage...she got tix for Christmas in Nashville...Vince Gill and Amy Grant...so, now we have to find a hotel and a flight...any suggestions?...

We saw the taped ACM's...let's see, Carrie was not up for the female singer of the year, or the entertainer of the year...lord...her performance was outstanding again...and is the best in the biz...hands down...figure it out, Academy...

NBA...Steph Curry has been on a terrific run of scoring 30+ points in multiple games...11 straight, for a kid over 33...had 49 last nite vs the 76ers...who were trying to double him...OK, he can flat out shoot the rock...the best ever?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
