The Sooper Bowl

I have the time...so do you...let's go back into time...where it all began...the original, ah, first, the ground breaking 'championship' game of the two professional leagues...for a title of them...in 1967...the established one of all time, the NFL...and the upstart and much more fun to watch, the AFL...you see, back then...when a player got out of college, there was a bidding war for his services between the 2 leagues...the thought at the time, was there were more established stars in the NFL...and this game was gonna be a rout...

The two teams...the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs...are still in their respective cities...which is not the norm...coached by legendary blokes, with the Pack and Vince Lombardi, and the Chiefs with Hank Stram...the site was the LA Memorial Coliseum...Jan 15, 1967...because there were 2 leagues, there were 2 major networks covering it...CBS and NBC...you picked which one you wanted to watch...and was it SRO?...only if you wanted to stand...it was sparsely attended...

The times they have a changed...it indeed, was a one sided affair...Green Bay won it 35-10...Bart Starr led the Pack and well, it was interesting...did the Horse watch it?...yessirree Bob...imagine nowadays that you might see the QB of the Chiefs, sitting on the sideline...during the game, mind you...toking on a cigarette!...QB Len Dawson...

Now we speed it up...to Super Bowl LV...Roman numerals, daddy...this time in Tompa Bay, Florida...this same franchise in Kansas City, is taking on the Buccaneers...with the grandiose extravaganza that it has become....missing, the gads of fans, due to the bloody, er, deadly pandemic...will we watch?...of course...in a party format?...nope...the commercials?...sure...the half time show?...probably not...usually lame...

So, who you got?...the line has stayed at 3...I think that is too low...I see the 'Chiefs' in at least a 7 point win...my heart?...favors Tom Terrific...really, I bet nuttin on it...so, I just gander...breaking...at least to me...KC is without their 2 starting offensive tackles...I now fav TB...

Staying in sports...the 3rd round of Jordan Spieth at the Soprano Open...was him resurrected?...ah, that's a bit harsh, and not intended to be religious...but, he did do things like he did 3 years ago...as, he and X are battling for the title...it's so hard to put back to back super 18 holes together...still, there is promise in the kid...

The air fryer...has a caged tumbler for it...what is it used for?...well, we have no idea...we tried some tater tots last nite...albeit, after a stiff one or two...ah, testing our system for the Sooper Bowl...it was a funny mess...they all disintegrated into the thang...well, I thought it was funny, others didn't...

Snooki's song of the day...'Spanish Morning' by Mark Barrios...a stumper, indeed...I recall 'Spanish Harlem' by Ben E. King...or 'Spanish Castle Magic' by Jimi Hendrix...but NOT the one you have...I bow to your range of listening prowess...

Think donny is getting a bit nervous about the upcoming week's trial?...don't take his calls, Mitch...

Gosh, I can't believe I left this out...been thinking about it the whole time that it was announced...duh...the NFL's O Rookie of the year is UO's and now LA's, QB, Justin Herbert!...hip hip HOORAY!...

LV is 55 you heathens...
