What a Difference a Day Makes

Sunday, had it's moments of a normal SoCal winter...showers, then sun, wind, then sun...and abnormal cold temps...as we searched the web net to find appointments for the Covid vaccine...we qualify, but so do lots of other San Diegans...and how many doses do 'they' have?...got on a waiting list...to be called out of Chula Vista...the one closest to us, Petco Park, was slammed...for a goodly portion of the am, I kept trying to get an appointment there...reloading the page...you know, that stuff...finally, we got one...as did Marsh...but, after entering all your info in, the site said 'ERROR'...try again...

Around 11 am, there was a whole gaggle of appts that appeared...after about 6 tries I GOT ONE...at 2:15...Sunday...as did Marsh, at 12:30...just an hour and half to get ready and get there...so we showered and got moving...not knowing what was ahead of us...well, we found out in a hurry...more people in their cars, just like us....you see, this is a stay in your car vaccine...spot...and the hurry part, turned into a barely moving thang...3 different entry points...really lucky to be in your own vehicle, to listen to the music and chill...

UCSD is running the vaccine site...with security and lots of folk telling where to go...the real entry puts you in a series of about 6 to 8 cars...probably 8-10 banks of them...this is where they screen you...not sure how that works, as we had 2 diff scheduled times, but they took us in anyhoo....ID and all...then you go to the next area, in a series again...this is the inoculation section...

Another screening (?), not sure why...then the nurse comes by, with a lot of info, and then administers the vaccine...we were getting the Moderna one...quick and painless, I might add...ah, my arm is a tad bit sore this am, but that is normal for most shots I get...once all the people in our series gets the inoculations, we wait for 15 minutes to see if anyone has problems...then YOU GONE!...in a month, your 2nd one is scheduled...

Listen, kids, they (UCSD) did a marvelous job!...so well done, that it is amazing that there are so many more people to go...we were thankful, and let them know that...do not hesitate to get yours, if not done so...

I awakened to a most blustery, rainy, awful sound this morning outside...you Oregonians, know exactly what I am talking about...high winds...REAL rain...and cold...like 53*....this my golf day, ah, no, not this one...ain't happening...'What a Difference a Day Makes'...wondering what UCSD is going to do with their vaccine site?...postpone?...hmmm, I will turn on the tele and see what they have to say...

You know my passion for a good cup of Joe in the am...well, the Horse is left with the dregs...Peet's 'Major Dick's blend'...just awful....Brooklyn...egads...no Starbucks...no SF Bay...help me Rhonda, my am is on the  skids...

How about Tom Terrific!...as his Tompa Bay Bucs beat the Pack in Green Bay....buoyed by a mysterious FG attempt with 2 minutes to go, instead of going for a tying TD...bewilders moi...just because they are the coach of a NFL team, doesn't make them bright...ha ha...and KC toyed with the Buff Bills...listen all, you can't throw every down and win on that level...once in while, yes...but, you need the offset, too...the 'Chiefs' too much...I like the sooper bowl matchup...

Snooki's song of the day...'You Send Me' by Sam Cooke...great choice, my older elder PNW buddy...the bizarre death of him...Sam, that is...at the age of 33 in LaLa...shot to death by a motel manager...the circumstance was highly suspect, and I can't believe there isn't a flick about it...black man in '64...guess I left the door open, right?...inspect it and see what YOU think...

Also, down here...in Cali...the Guv Newsome is fighting to keep his job...recalls are afloat...there is a strong rumor, that he is going to lift the 'stay at home' decree today...

Hey, recall when Guliani, the former minister of madness, was honoring his master's wishes and lambasting the voting machines...used in the election...Dominion...well now, that company has just sued Rudy for $1.3 BILLION bucks for his claims...'master, I need your help'....good luck on that...

Can't leave trump out of this...but he and Melania (are they still together?) have taken up residence in Mar-a-lago...and there is a mass exodus out of there...they don't like him much....c'mon, really?...

While I am talking donny...two of his allies are thinking about governorship....Mike Lindell (the pillow guy) in Minnesota...and Sarah Huckabee Sanders in Arkansas....seems about right...don't throw your MAGA caps out just yet...I still have mine, signed, mind you...

Good gosh, I watched an interview of Rand Paul (Senator o' Kentucky) by George S...he is a beaut...and I am totally sarcastic on that...I can see why his neighbor cleaned his clock...belligerent little man...

The NY Times made some form of mockery of Prez Biden, as he adorned himself with a Rolex watch...thing is, it was his deceased son's (Beau), as he wears it in his memory...good lord...BTW, any Rolex, is the most unnecessary item you can own...unless, it has meaning...like in this case...

Here I go again...but the MLB Hall of Fame...should NOT be determined by sports writers...players, managers, and owners...yes...the writers...no...
