Peachy Keen


At last...the power of the people...the vote...and the Georgians...as the Peach State made history...going forth and electing the two best candidates for Senator...yes, I am jumping the gun on Ossoff, but...he is up by 16,000 votes and is on the path...Warnock has been declared...and here we go...the change...in the government that is sorely needed...at least to this blogger's eyes...

Here are the names...Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff...Georgia Senators...ah, sounds neat, huh...


The results?...you know, I am not sure how much you read and watch the news...that will put the Senate at 50 Republicans, and 50 Democrat's...the deciding vote, if an issue appears stalemated...the Vice President Kamala Harris decides...gone is the Mitch dominance...

Gone, too, is the trump debacle...the horrific 4 year ride to nowhere...today, the last ceremonial hurdle, as the present VP Pence, announces the findings of the Electoral College to Congress....trump wanted Pence to nullify it...of course he wants that...sooo, in his last 14 days of his '30 days of Hell', he is calling out his henchmen to lead a revolt...expect clashes in the streets of DC...yea, can you imagine?...

Hmmm, trump has always leaned toward a dictatorship...trying to find ways to stay in office, regardless of the vote and the Constitution...BTW, does he know what happens when a dictator gets thrown out of power?...he (she) exits the country or gets hunted down and well, you know...the beauty of ours...this doesn't happen...he BE so lucky...

Completely off the topic, but how many chess sets have been sold since the Queen's Gambit?...

Yes, I watched with delight the 'boards' that the TV dudes reported from...who was left...the tallies yet to come in...

Also, watched with dismay, the horrifically coached Blazers...losing to the lowly Bulls in PDX...even when Chicago was missing 4 due to Covid...the lack of proper O...and, of course, the pick and roll D...where the opponent gets an uncontested shot...as the Post defender is in the key...no hedge, no double team...no nuttin'....just a loss that should never happen...geez, I am sounding like a Republican...

The Heisman went to a wideout from 'Bama...K...DeVonta Smith...still can't believe they call it a Heisman...so non-deserving, talking the name for it...not Smith, he is worthy......check Heisman's history...which I have written about way back when...

Not sure why, but this trump statement reverberated in me head this am..."I know more than the Generals do"...know what?...

And this...when trump was interviewed by Axios..."some books have been written about this, some very good ones"...ah, which ones?...what are they?...no response...the journey to nowhere...

As we were walking on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach yesterday, sipping some lattes and mochas, I kept thinking how lucky we were...


I guess this doesn't surprise moi...but the D-1 Champ football game may be delayed one week due to Covid...

Guliani, the minister of madness, was seen on those DC streets, asking if anyone has seen the lady from the Borat film...

There may be moments of Civil War types of skirmishes today in DC...ugly reminder of what trump is all about...Snooki's song of the day...'For What It's Worth' by Buffalo Springfield...a reminder of the tuff times of the early 70's...late 60's...where the country was in an unpopular war....demonstrating all over the US...I have thought about this a lot...there hasn't been much written about the present trump dilemma in a song...or songs...totally weird...

And then...just one...this is THIS am, Jan 6, 2020...OOPS, 2021!

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ...
