I Have A Dream

In our era, one of the top speeches to be remembered...and copied...by Martin Luther King, Jr..."I HAVE A DREAM'...the leader of the racial equality movement, that was at it's height in the late 60's...unfortunately, assassinated in '68...my time of college...also, the incredible war of Vietnam...the country was at odds with itself...just a tumultuous time to be in...and endure...

This day, Jan 18 2021, is reserved to honor him, now passionately called 'MLK'...we pause, and honor him...for what he did for EQUALITY!....

You know, his death, was a significant thing in my youth...the loss of the Kennedy Brothers, via the killings...was too...I think back to the signs of war, all around us...we (meaning my generation) had so many questions as to 'why?'...as much as I hated that era, I did love the music of then...more writers, performers, talented people, had so many things to say and deliver to us...

One such bloke, just died in prison of Covid...Phil Spector...crazed personal life, that had a flair for altering sounds when he produced music...he must have harbored demons...too...what a waste...

2 more days of...well, you know...the 17th past on and no disturbances...fingers crossed for the inauguration on the 20th...the rumor is...like I figured yesterday...trump has been in his cubicle, working on pardons...PARDONIA...said to be releasing the list tomorrow...'hundreds?'...how many trumps are there?...

Guliani, the outgoing minister of madness, is NOT going to be on trump's defense team after all...dang it all, I was looking forward to the debacle...it is said, that he is now downtrodden over the news...and has called Borat for a spot in his next flick...needs the cash...

So, we took a brief excursion to get a Mom's Pie...stayed in our car, mind you...a jaunt to Julian...where there were more people there, than we have EVER seen...weird...masked, tho...the restaurants were open...well, there were lines...just waiting take out?...I dunno...anyhoo, the weather was brilliant and it felt good to get out and about...safely...

'Got an email from a flounder'...Rocky and Bullwinkle...actually got one from the Shink...that he had seen this segment from '60 Minutes' about a Native American VP...what?...had no idear...Charles Curtis...he indeed was the VP for the USA, serving for the Prez at that time, Herbert Hoover...31st one, from '29-'33...right before FDR...Curtis was 3/8ths Kaw....short for Kanza...which the area became Kansas...say what?...thx, Shink, and now YOU know, too...
