A perfect tri tip...follow this exactly....marinade for at least 3 hours...use an oven ready skillet...sear the one side in oil...4 minutes...turn over the tri tip...put in oven at 400* for 30 minutes...for 2 1/2 pounder...rest it...then slice, against the grain...and enjoy...do NOT overcook...
