Hold The Gravy

Just imagine this...you are at a restaurant...WAIT!...we are talking in the past...ah, use your imagination...and ya'll decided to have someone else fix you the Thanksgiving Meal...so, out you trot to a fine eating establishment...fully knowing that the family idear is kaput...can't group nor travel...so, it's just your immediate fam that go out...And All The Fixin's...that is the advertisement...when you arrive, the seating is 'outside only'...illegal to sit inside the eatery...the mandate from the Guv...no more than 10 at the table, too...well, we have two...it's 52*, yet sunny...OK, then, we leave our coats on...even the propane heaters aren't enough...coffee, rather than wine...and please, one plate only, we want to eat and get out...no offense, but this sucks...not your fault...and right 'Hold The Gravy'...we don't want to wait...

Is this far fetched?...nope...so down here in SoCal, we are doing the other...fixin our food for ourselves...the turkey?...a breast...gonna make our own cranberries...have plenty of taters...making a roux, and gonna do the gravy a la Horse...green beans, of course...stuffing?...now that's a problem...but a need...we have to get to the super for some rolls, and a pumpkin pie...figure on standing in line to get in...unless, our secret super is still that...fingers crossed...have heard rumors that Costco has lines again to get in...oh yea, and milk...the rest of the fam?...either by video phone or Zoom...that's the way it is, November, Thanksgiving Day, 2020...

Can't believe we are still talking trump and our country's lawyers filing suits in the courts...he spends money on that and then spends money on his golf...OUR MONEY!!!...imagine the tales that could be told by the secret service of the escapades of donny throughout these 4 years of turbulence...the fact that he couldn't even face up to the pandemic in the G20 summit...had to vacate and go play at golf...that is YOUR leader, Repubs...proud?...and he is plotting to run again in 2024...he's all yours...

I've said this before, but the scene in 'O Brother, Where Art Thou'...where the politician is run out on a rail...nothing could be finer...then orange on the pole...I digress...

This just out...Chris Christie, on ABC, ripped the trump's legal team as "a national embarrassment"...from a guy who voted for donny twice...yes, enough is enough...pack your bags and get on with it...
