Happy (?) Thanksgiving


To all of you, out there in Horse land...I wish you the best Thanksgiving you can come up with...it may be not what you are used to...if you are one of those that has been affected, infected, or subjected to the Covid 19, I wish you better times ahead...in hopes that the vaccines arrive sooner than later...and we ALL get them...90% (+) efficiency is an incredible stat, so I am told by the medical community...let's go back a bit...

Regardless of the origin, way way back...it is now understood to be a gathering moment in the lives of FAMILY!...there have been great films and TV shows that go with this notion...some funny, some not so...you must see 'The Family Stone' for a wonderful nostalgia flick...it will take your mind BACK to your own times...I guarantee it...

I can recall all our parents meeting up for the extravaganza that we hosted...well, we did often...they are all gone now...sad...such is life...our memories, they are still here...forever...and for you, in the now...when this whole pandemic mess has gone...YOU must reestablish the passion and fervor of FAMILY gathering for not only the meal, but the companionship....it goes so fast, believe me...

In this season of the winter, the Thanksgiving and the Holidays in December...Hanukkah, Christmas, and Festivus...well, there may be others...I dunno...the religious gathering part has been put in limbo...well, it has the entire time of Covid...interesting, that in New York, there was a mandate to limit the numbers who could go inside to worship in a church, synagogue, or wherever...the Supreme Court (the newly adjusted one) reversed that order...sign of the things on the horizon?...smacks in the face of the medical field...maybe I am missing something...

And this...the leadership of so many areas...not just in DC...say one thing, then do other...they say don't travel nor gather in bigger groups...then THEY do...'do as I say, not as I do'...I think that triggers so many people to throw caution to the wind...and let it go...witness the mass amount of airplane traveling...hey, this all occurs, when there is absolutely NO LEADERSHIP in our country...NONE...

He will be gone soon...trump...orange...huge orange...to his digs in Florida...he can't stay in NYC, owes too much there...his babble, his arrogance, his ineptitude, his deceit, his lying, and his ways of life...all gone...not before he does the Pardon routine...those who stuck up for him and are in jail now...and whatever he can drum up, while on the golf course....

Snooki, get my mind elsewhere....his song of the day...'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' by Pentatonix...a very interesting group, that does all their own backgrounds, via their voices...listen to their Christmas vinyl...the song, has been covered a million times...one of my favs, was on Idol, where Katherine McPhee did it...ah, now she is hitched to David Foster...the original was done by Judy Garland in '39...wait, you don't even know her, do ya?...she was famous with Mickey Rooney...you don't know him either...

Our day...how it will unfurl...well, after I publish me blog...the kids and us are video (telephone) close, but not together...the turkey?...a rolled up breast...the fixins?...taters, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, biscuits, did I mention the gravy?...and a Julian pumpkin pie...long story short, we got some store made and had to go get the Julian one...BTW, the only one left...might taste it with some fine wine...play some Xmas vinyl, especially Carries new one...and then...VOILA!...put up our tree...hey, where does the football fit in?...something must be adjusted...

I hope you find your way to celebrate the day...this is unique, kids...ZOOM?...vid call...it will all be over soon....ah, donny...and the virus...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
