As We Know It


Is there any good news?...the wild fires are absolutely DEVASTATING, up and down the west coast of our beautiful country...I recall, on a bike trip down a central Oregon mountain...the guide telling us that the fires were Mother Nature's way of cleaning things up...whoever Mother Nature is...not really a believer in that story, or reasoning...

Back in the days of our early life...the Santiam Pass was an essential...the Little North Fork...Detroit Lake...the stops at the little restaurants...as we are told, they are all gone...burned down...we thought, that if there was to be FIRES, they were to be on the other side of the mountain...has this happened before?...don't think so...

As I have said, 'up and down' the west coast...so many of the mountains ranges, have flare ups, right now...of course, our RV trip is in peril, too...Yosemite Park being the ultimate destination...a very emphatic 'we'll see' is the thought...

Last eve, like so many things that are rumored...we heard tales that the fires were approaching Lincoln City, too...another destination point for us, back when...just all very scary and sad...for us Willamette Valley folk, that was the 'coast'...we had a house there, well, it was my mom's...another day, for that story...thing is...let's hope this city survives...

On a much brighter side...my buddy from the PNW...the author of the songs of the day...Snooki...just celebrated his birthday...and yes, we are the same age...well, right now...I truly appreciate his friendship and his contribution to me blog...his song for the day...'Mercy, Mercy Me' by Marvin Gaye...as he and Laurie, are still in Salem...enduring the smoke and nonsense going on there...

Nonsense?...what do you make out of the tapes that Trump had with Bob Woodward?...why?...just ties down the timing that he knew about the deadly virus...and for some reason, 'spared' us of the info...it's a big deal for most of my 23 sources...the Q is 'could he, or should he, have done more, sooner?'...not sure what else I can add to that...

The mighty Padres swept the Rockies...as we just get better and better...a much needed dinger by Mitch...to get him out of his funk...solid pitching...my, our new closer, is boss...in come the Giants...keep it rolling, men...BTW, the Atlanta 'Braves' scored 29 against the Miami 'baseball team?'...this is not football, ya'll...don't they have a 10 run rule?...

In the bubble, appears that it will be a showdown with the LaLa teams for the west crown...Jimmy Crack Corn...

A query...if the peace treaty of the Middle East is indeed worthy of a Nobel Prize...shouldn't it go to the author, Jared?...just another ghost writer, eh Orange?...

Is this Fake News?...the KFam are (is?) ending their illustrious production in the next year...relax, people, they will still be with us...well, with their doctors...you know, they have to keep up their appearances...and appearance...

Just a year ago...today...we saw Carrie in concert out at whatever it is called now...when might we have them back?...of course, when the vaccine arrives...duh, Red Rider...


YES, the NFL starts their season TONIGHT!...Texans at the 'Chiefs'...I'm not in a fantasy league, again...nobody loves me, nor wants me $...I am an easy target and always lose...ha ha...well, I didn't think there would be games...so payed no attention to it...I was wrong...

Why isn't payed or paid, not pade?...you English blokes make the language too hard...

An observation...I was perusing the Facebook, for vids of the devastation of the fires in the Santiam Pass...one of the video peops, was a person actually named...Harli Davidson...love it...

I just saw that Poppa Al's survived!...love it, too...and yes, the Gingerbread House made it, too...

For you in the blame game...quit doing so on Lindsey Graham....that by FOX's Tucker Carlson...and blaming Woodward for holding the Trump tapes, for so long...let Orange wallow in this, all by himself...

Finally....I kid you not on this...Trump just got through Tweeting...'OPEN the schools'...has he not seen the numbers of Covid rising on campus?...I have adjectives I'd love to give him...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
