14 Years!

Time to do some celebrating1...it has been since 2006 that the then San Diego Padres, qualified for the post season playoffs...soon after we moved down into south SoCal...then...this draught came upon the franchise...change of leadership...change of philosophy...over and over...finally, it has clicked...are the mighty Padres there completely?...no...but, getting there...close...need another SP, or two...however, let's enjoy this major step...damn it all, we can't see them live...until then, to the tele!...

Staying in sports...Deshambbooooo....outmuscled the course and won the Open by 6....the only bloke under par...now, even his fellow pros, are wondering out loud...'how is this happening?'...rumors...he is a hulk, now....supposed miracle drink that bulked him up...ah ha...sure, there are those who are saying, er, questioning 'roids?'....add the Horse to that list...

The Emmy's...of course, it had to be bizarre...in the pandemic...as per usual, the awards went to people and shows...that we never, ever watch...Jimmy Kimmel, the host, was good aa much as we watched it...'The Pandemmy's'...

Filling a Supreme Court seat...pops up again in the last quarter of the 'lame _uck' presidential reign...this time, the Republicans will try to sneak in a conservative....trump has told his revival that it will be a black woman....back 4 years ago, the Rep led Senate banned any choice of Prez O's...this time, the Senate is still led by them...and NOW they want their person in...this spot is FOR LIFE...what might the Dems do?...convince the Repubs?...fillibuster?...impeach the Orange again?...and this...trump released his short list of judges...nope, not one of them a black woman...more lies...lies...'the Knickerbockers'...

Nope, not watching the Bubble...the Lake Show won game 2 on a prayer by AD (the Brow)...up 2-0...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
