The Warmth of the Sun

With our heat wave, no better song to catch it...by them Beach Boys...'The Warmth of the Sun'...up and down out west coast...gosh, you know it is summer...we are supposed to get it, right?...well now, it is here...arrived...for at least the next 10 days...often accompanied by the thunder and lightning show...not so much here, but inland for sure...love to watch it, but hate to be in it...our trips to Florida have been at times, terrifying...cuz of the storms...Mother Nature at work...work?...well, she just does her thang...

The heat is on...like in the PGA T in North Carolina...they are expecting them storms...thus, they moved round 3 up...like at daybreak...to escape the impending doom...if you are a follower, the dudes are already well into their rounds...seriously, like 12-15 guys in the hunt...many, without a win on tour...perhaps, their first...'play well'...the common phrase used...

The game of games for PDX...in the bubble...NBA...this morning at 11:30...the play in game for the 8th seed...and round 1 with the LaLa Lakers...should be a donnybrook...can you win big games, playing flawed defense?...to take you back, well me back...I had a team that was lacking horizontal foot movements...really...terrific kids...but, we could score the rock...so we tried to outscore teams for the W...exciting as Hell, but from the old school coaching angle, a mess...welcome to Portland's world...

Staying in sports...the mighty Padres got whupped in 'Zona...game one....geez, we ain't hitting right now...c'mon blokes, get 'er going...and, as the pattern continues, our RP is sputtering...

Hopefully, Huge Orange has taken his ghost Tweeter with him to the golf course...as he (they?) spend(s) his (their?) weekend golfing...all the while, the country tries to get normal...my thought is, if he is gone, we have a chance...

My oh my, when I post on Facebook, the gloves have come on with some...battling back and forth...I try not to respond...it's hard at times...those of you who are believers of Orange...it baffles me to think that you...can't see he is using you...he isn't a true Republican like you are...now, if you are a real Trump believer...woah be to you...he's all yours...please keep him away from the rest of us...

The PNW lad is enlightening us this am...Snooki's song of the day...'You Belong To Me' by the Duprees...one of the great songs of all time...of course, the originals are gone...but, there is a follow up bunch of dudes singing it...see it on Youtube...it is fantastic...'62...they had another that was simply awesome, too...'Have You Heard' in '63...

Bernie Sanders tweeted this am...'Trump is not stupid...he knows if there is a decent sized turnout, he loses!'....first of all, Bernie...he is stupid...2ndly, you are right about the numbers for the turnout...you are batting .500....

We had date night last eve...walked down to Lou and Mickey's...it is truly amazing how the weather and the adjustments in the outside seating areas have made it a go...5th Ave is shuttered to cars...the restaurants have set up in the street...it is cool...Marsh had a wonderful macadamia nut Alaskan halibut, and I had the Filet...terrific...have a great weekend!
