The Race Is On

In my euphoric, jubilant scream at the top of my lungs, as to the news of the pick for the Demo VP...KAMALA HARRIS!...Marsh, was in the back room, and wanted to know what was up...what's the noise all about?...a perfect choice to combine for the ticket...to solidify a strong Democratic Party...Biden/Harris...2020...

She was my pick for the top spot, back when the primaries were started up...didn't happen...as Joe emerged...listen, kids...there were some other really great options, too...this one makes the most sense...and, for sure...The Race Is On...

I posted in Facebook, just the name of Kamala Harris!...the arteries of polarization reared their ugly heads...trash talking is one thing, but name calling another...however, that is the battle line that has been established by Trump...ah, for over 4 years now...it is a pattern that will only grow...especially as he fine tunes his negativity...observing even more so...these are my 'friends' that are commenting...egads...I added 'can't we all just get along?'...and, even that got a naysayer...perhaps, the quiet ones will win out...

Speaking of that...not a fan of debates in the home...the condo...the community on stilts...185 houses piled on one another...as we were at the pool, lounging, enjoying the water...and the sun...next to moi, sat a 'known' Repub...a passionate feller, that loves to hear himself talk...yes, kids, I was doomed...he drug me in...found out I was originally from Oregon...and he bellowed out 'that's a hell of a place!'...ranted on how the socialists, antifa, and on and on...had taken over that state...that Trump went in and cleaned it up...and more...I turned the other cheek...smiled, disgustedly..."hey, I can see where you are coming from...it's cool...we all have our own opinions...I'd rather not debate you"...he kept talking, 'as an educator you should be teaching...'...my ear buds were in, his voice was gone, as I was listening to Michael Buble...as loud as my ears could take...ah, I could see his mouth going, but...I was elsewhere...

As we were departing...he must have thought I was taking in his lecture...as he wished us a good bye...nice talking to ya...smiling, I told him "don't get burned"...I was not talking about the sun...

The mighty Padres got game number 2 in LaLa Land...a convincing 6-2 thrashing of them Bums...Manny hit a grand slam...Richards was tuff tuff tuff as the starter...and now...try for number 3...we aren't bad, ya'll...maybe, just maybe....

The PDX Blazers have moved into the last playoff spot in the west...as Dame poured in 61!...lord, he can hoop!...beat the Mavs...how many games left?...in their own hands now...win out and they are in...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
