Obama Cares


There were dual headliners for Day 3 of the DNC...the most eloquent speech of Prez O and...the coronation of the VP candy lady, Kamala Harris...and her speech of acceptance...first, Barack Obama...by accident, I swear...we were watching YouTube a bit before the convention started up...the Seinfeld (Jerry) show, about 'Comedians Having Coffee in Cars'...ah, something like that...was on...the 'comedian' was Prez O...Jerry went to the White House, back when O was the inhabitant...the exchange was brilliant and funny...you MUST catch it...

Back to the here and now...Prez O gave a scathing talk on the strengths of Joe Biden and the extreme weaknesses of Trump...let's just call this unprecedented...there is a club of former presidents, that one bloke will NEVER be in...Orange is on his own...the message was LOUD and CLEAR...Trump is inept, lazy, and self serving...his only salvation will be his devoted base of ....followers...the rest of the country?...listening to the every word of the former Prez...as he weaved in his devotion to HIS VP, Joe Biden...in doubt?...I think not...

Shortly thereafter, came the announcement that Kamala Harris...was unopposed and would be speaking as to her acceptance for the Demo VP...the First Lady of color to get that honor...hey, am I a person of color?...what is the percentage needed?...like I am 5/8 indigenous blood...gosh, Native American blood...well, to most of you, Injun blood...that MUST qualify...I digress...why did I make that about me?...c'mon Horse...Kamala did a masterful job of showing why she should have been the pick...lordy, I wish there was a crowd in attendance...

Day 4...will be the coronation of Joe Biden...the list of speakers include Sen Booker, Mayor Pete, Cali Guv Newsome, Andrew Yang, Mitch McConnell (kidding), Mike Bloomberg...and of course, Joe Biden...hee yah!...

Let's go...

The mighty Padres...let's figure this out...won game 3 vs the Texas Rangers...in OT, with get this...ANOTHER Gand Slam!...the 3rd in a row, game wise...Manny Machado stepped up and was the swatter...as the Rangers pitched around Jr...to get to Manny...oops...and, due to the after game talk with the rookie mgr...he said that Pagan and Pomeranz were off limits for the game...OK, that settles my query...BTW, the new nickname for the Pads is...SLAM DIEGO...

Tonight the Blazers and the Lakers go at it again...be as mad as you want, LeBron, you have to cool down and play the game...and shoot better...if not, you will get whupped...again...ha ha ha ha....to add one thing...the line for the matchup...the LaLa Lake Show favored by 6 1/2 points...

The first leg of the 'season ending' T in the PGA starts up today...Tiger is in...the Northern Trust...Massachusetts...what?...they haven't even had the Masters, or the Open...weird...

I have to go back to this...just what is a 'person of color?'...kind of one of them English vague thangs, I reckon...somebody non-white?...who is white?...an albino?...must one be from Europe?...one of our good friends commented we are ALL people of color...who has the definition?...must one be black, brown, red, or yellow?...'hey you must be a colored person'...kind of got an idea where and when that came out...not too much difference from the 50's, right?...just moved the words around....hmmm...help me out...

Snooki's song of the day...'Mr Lee' by the Bobbettes...the group sang of their love of their teacher...thing is, it was originally written about their HATE for Mr Lee...the record company switched it up and made 'em go with it...their follow up song...and I can't make this up...'I Shot Mr Lee'...somehow, the record company let this get out...oh well, Mr Lee is now dead, and there shall be no more...

Let's talk about moi...a person of color...I had 3 birdies count 'em, 1-2-3...yesterday...I can go for days without 1!...luv me new putter...you really don't care, do ya?...

This just in...Trump's dude Steve Bannon...with 3 others have been arrested and charged with FRAUD, in the Trump border WALL $25 million dollar fundraising campaign...a Watergate moment here...wonder who gave him the OK to do so?...

Humpty Trumpty sat on his wall, Humpty Trumpty is about to suffer...a free fall...FREE?...ah, a $25 million buck fall...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
