Mystifying Monday




It is the Repubs turn at showcasing their wares...this week...their revival, er, convention...North Carolina?...isn't that the site of the infamous confrontation of the White Supremacy group and the ah, other side?...where Donny proclaimed 'there were good people on both sides'... I digress...something tells me that there are to be protests in their streets...could be wrong...anyhoo, it is for you to judge the ballyhoo of this group...didn't Trump run unopposed?...

Mystifying Monday is what I have labeled today...as Huge Orange's best supporter, Kellyanne Conway, is leaving the campaign...odd...as she is bowing out to work on her family issues...the timing is extremely odd...right before the election...might she sense the outcome?...of course, her hubby, George, is doing the same...their daughter?...vehemently opposed to Trump, is she going with 'em?...just HAS to be a dysfunctional fam, right?...nuttin like politics...

The polls...after each convention or revival...there is a bump for the latest one...expect the RNC to have theirs...unless, Donny is repulsive...ha ha...

DJ ran away with the Northern Trust T in Mass...-30!...what?...who shoots that score for 4 rounds of golf?...DJ does...won by 11 strokes...ah, back in time, Tigeresque...

The mighty Padres swept the Astros, too...them and the Rangers...ah, that is 7 wins in a row...without a grand slam...but, a critical HR by Manny....must comment on Jr...he made two amazing defensive plays and then led off the 8th with a single...set the table for Manny...this is a good team, kids...how good?...every game is a new one...but...we...have...momentum...

Terrific game winner for the Mavs over the Clip Joint...long range bomb by Luka to win it at the buzzer in OT...ties the series up at 2...and yes, I am pulling for Dallas...don't like the shenanigans of the LA team...

Did you know that most people judge what the entire state of Oregon is like, by the happenings in downtown Portland?...they do around here for sure...I constantly...tell them...otherwise...

We are UP early today...Sammi had the calling...we did NOT take her out before we went to bed...sorry mistake on our part...weird people out at 4 am...I guess, you could include US...

We canceled our RV trip up north this week...would be traveling right into the smoke...will put it off until it all clears up...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
