Independence Day

As best we can, we try to celebrate the country's Independence Day...this 4th of July...there are lots of songs to signify it, but I prefer the one by Martina McBride...a signature tune of hers...the highlight has often been the marvelous fireworks shows...like everywhere...however, this, too, will be sporadic...as the 'grouping' of people is a no no...around here, there is a festive 'big bay boom'...make that, was...I am hearing that in the outlying towns, they still will be having their version...not sure how that works...

In the past...we have watched the celebratory light shows...on the river...at the fair grounds...from the beach in Florida...the list goes on...from the upper levels of the condo...but, this, too, is put on hold...add this to the number of thangs...geez, and other 4 letter words...

We debated a 2 person cookout...you know, the chicken, beans, tater salad, and the apple pie...just didn't seem the same...so we are offing for the left over roast, via the French dips sands...the tater tots...the bagged Caesar salad...and the Smith's frozen apple pie...or, is that Banquet?...something seems amiss...

Your bloke, Donny...had his celebration the day before...on the 'former' reservation of the Sioux...didn't he retake that land, when oil and GOLD was found on it?...his revival was well planned...with chairs attached together...fuggit about the social distancing with his band...no masks...as he basked in the glory of the 4 guys on the mountain...chiseled so fine so that all the 'Injuns' could honor these dudes ALL THE TIME!...what he wouldn't do to have his huge orange, rather bulbus head...added to the mountain...

And now the social justice...

The names...no worse than the Washington Redskins...the owner, Dan Gilbert (oops, make that Snyder!) , has been fighting the notion of change for many years...and in this day and age...there is a 'huge' uproar for change...and he is feeling the heat...and he stated that 'they will look into it', and in so delayed any immediate change...I think he believes time is on his side...the longer he puts it off, the need for change, will die off...and he will have his bloody Redskin name...still...

Over in Cleveland...the MLB team is addressing the team name they have...the 'Indians'...they, too, are looking into it...listen kids, just cause it got by back when, doesn't mean it was right...then, OR NOW!...to be sure, there are others...the Atlanta Braves, the FSU Seminoles, and on and on...

Think what we may, but there is no one person worse than the above teams...than your current inhabitant of the White House...whose name for Sen Eliz Warren is as belligerent and derogative as they come...Donny rolls on...calls people whatever he thinks...if, he actually, does...

Let's go...

Is there anyone on the PGA Tour hotter than Webb Simpson?...tied at the top, yet again, for the T in Michigan...closely followed by the recently very big dude, in Bry DeChambeau...wouldn't it be fun to see the two locked into the last group tomorrow for the champ?...I think so...

If I could putt...I am scoring low...but, gosh, if I could just hit the birdies that I have right in front of me face...ha ha...gonna go back to another putter...has to be the stick...

Hey, this is just a good item...one of the parts of my trip out to Sycuan...is that I stop at Carl's Jr and have a biscuit sand...yesterday, there was a line at the drive thru...almost never happens, especially how early I am there...as I drove up and was about to give my cash...the gal just gave me my order...that the person ahead of me, paid for it!...have no idea who it was...and yes, there are wonderful people in this world...still...

Snooki's song of the day...'Be My Baby' by the Ronettes....they were a group, like many, that had connections to the infamous Phil Spector...'the wall of sound' bloke...who eventually went wack, and shot some one (his girl friend?)...and ended up in prison...anyhoo, the lead singer was Veronica Bennett, who later changed her name to Ronnie Spector...the other two were her sister and her cousin...sheesh, just like them Beach Boys...all kinda related...

Soooo, do what you can to honor the day...wowser, it is soooo nice out right now...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
