Around Town

A terrific opening day game for the mighty Padres!...as they took it to, one of their arch enemies of the past, MadBum...now, sporting a new 5 yr contract with the DBacks...in lieu of the SF Giants...the team that is in rebuild mode...never works...anyhoo, back to the Pads...scored 7...aided by TWO bases loaded doubles by lB Eric Hosmer...6 ribbies, a new opening day record for SD...and solid pitching from the Sheriff...the pen held up, and VOILA!...game number one is a VICTORY!...

As I was returning from my golf in El Cajon, I ventured by the Gaslamp...must be the weekend, but, the numbers of restaurants that are extending out into the walkway and street are multiplying...like tenfold...resembling a fair atmosphere...hey, whatever it takes to survive...could see the same in the village of El Cajon while there, too...

The hoss racing out at Del Mar is on, again...full fields...and, of course, no patrons...geez, I miss going out there and tipping a few, and watching these magnificent animals race...LIVE...call me Crazy, but they should let a small number in and let us sit 6 ft apart...adorned with masks...

For youse golfers a reading moi...don't know if there is anything more satisfying as to finish your round of golf...a 512 yd par 5, with a birdie...yup...a so so drive, a big driver off the deck, an A wedge to 20 ft, and a putt right smack dab in the middle of the hole...then, as we all take a shot from our own birdie bottle...the smile as to the culmination of the day's effort...nuttin finer...

Snooki's song of the day...'A Summer Song' by Chad and Jeremy...wistfully done, I might add...Brits...Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde...started up in '62...had a number of hits, including 'Yesterday's Gone'...broke up in '68...then rekindled a couple of times...ie, in this past decade...in fact, Jeremy is still out there, warbling somewhere...there must be a willow weeping for him...

You heard the Taylor Swift album yet?...see what I mean?...kind of a downer...

Speaking of downers, what has the Huge Orange tweeted out this am?...he must sit in a little area, and think hard about what to say to the peops that read his unending set of garble...could have said garbage, too...

I am reading more and more of this...that Trump will step down prior to the election...rather than be humiliated at the polls...a gesture to 'save' the Republican Party...naw, not this bloke...he will ride the sinking ship out...might even have to take him out of the White House, like escorted...there are dudes signing up to help with the process...might even be a lottery...Jared, where are the oars?...

Am I biased?...but, the 'journalists', Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, are off their bloody rockers...FOX blokes...what flavor Kool Aid must you drink to buy into what the say?...

Do YOU get the feeling that the schools will HAVE to open up in a couple of months?...yea, me too...in an absolute bizarre series of mass failures...that is, unless the vaccine emerges...

The mighty Carnac here, but I see a bike ride in our future...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
