New Clothes

For many of us, the change of seasons is approaching...spring to summer...something like that...get some new duds, to drape all over the body...however, I am in a betting mood...and I figure that the odds are that less than 10% of ya'll have gotten anything new...in the past 2 months...man, nuttin much open...OK, the combo stores are...Costco, Targhet, Walmart...what else?...right, nuttin...so, the review on the social network sites, do the enticing...Amazon, too...throw in the day of days, Mother's Day, coming up this Sunday...hint hint, son...online flower shops?...

Finally, and I do mean finally...got to get out to the golf course yesterday...I counted 14 people out there...playing...it is open to members only...the staff was at ONE...and some worker bees, cutting the grass...walking was the order...gosh, I was pooped after the 18...so used to riding a cart...yes, doing the social distancing thang...it is relaxed while striking the pelota...but, prior and after, them masks are adorned...oh yea, me game is like the same...even after not playing for 2 months...it was great to be out there...

There was an article out today...'Have you got your stimulus check yet?'...ha ha...it is said, that the paper checks are going out this week...beginning to...expect the trickle down, to take 20 weeks...egad...we keep thinking it will get to us, when the SS $ does, in the middle of the month...direct deposit, or so we think....definitely, not a scientific process...nothing surprises moi....

To couple with the last paragraph, is Snooki's song of the day...'Please Mr. Postman' by the Marvelettes...and covered later by them Beatles...also covered by the Carpenters...the Fab 4 did cover many of the American songs in their versions...quite often better...like 'Twist and Shout'...but, in this case, the original was far superior...they had some groovy hits, 'Don't Mess With Bill', 'Playboy', but my fav of them all, was 'Beechwood 4-5789'...60's songs, kids...

Makes a whole lotta sense, to get back into the drive in movie business...$10 a car...couldn't take that much to get that going, right?...we'd go there...wouldn't you?...fits all the precautionary steps needed...bring your own popcorn and Coke, er Pepsi, if you prefer...

This is Cinco de Mayo...5th of May...a celebration, that USED to be highly treasured...well, at least with some bubbly...instead, we are doing a Cinco de Zooma, with our Oregon friends...let's see, the invites are out...the chips are bought...got some chard for the little lady...and some 805 beer for the Horse...ready!...

Big Orange is throwing out numbers of deaths, like they are nothing...good lord, he makes me ill...totally sick...

I was rolling out the 'pot roast' idear, yesterday...yup, did it...and the results?...totally scrumptious...fall off the, wait, there were no bones...check roast, that was divine...the rest of it could either go in French Dip sands, or piled on some nachos for this Cinco da Zooma...

Have NOT seen the last Idol...down to 10 or 11, I hear...is it worth seeing?...the last one, was not...only 3 that should be the winner...the least talented group in a while...overall...

The Futures...have the day going red...this is a good thing...the reasoning?...hey, Pops kid is in the biz, and he says he doesn't know why it is what it is...see, it's just not you or me...it is everyone...

The word out on the range, the murmur amongst the cattle is...'we have more days than we thought'...egads, that does sound morbid...forget I said that... farm talk...sorry bout that...

For you baseball nuts...who still believe in the HOF vote for Pete Rose...the bloke who bet on his own games that he was managing...ah hem...the word is that he often 'corked' his bats...geez, a singles guy, who needed an added advantage...if true...
