Happy Mother's Day

Albeit, very tough to call it 'Happy', it is time to pay tribute to all the MOTHERS out there in our great land...Happy Mothers Day...I zone in, especially on those closest to me....me mum, Cris's mom, and Cyrus's mom...we give thanks to them so much...Verna, Marsha, and Leila...'we' are going to celebrate the day, by doing what 'she' wants...a dindin from the one Chinese Restaurant in our area, that 'she' liketh...yes, kids, Panda Express...for some odd reason, the numbers of that type of food are few and far between down here in SD...at least, in the downtown area...go figure...

We did, in fact, do the home pizza thang yesterday...which included a bike ride to Little Italy, to get the fixins needed...made it the culmination of a work out ride, too...big mistake...as the jaunt, was an uphill ride at the end...that via car, you never notice...to an Italian Market...where, 'she' had to stand in line to get in...then, stand in line to purchase...you KNOW the drill...got some REAL ITALIAN pizza dough, pizza sauce, real mozzarella ball, and a salted cured something...ha ha...let's just say, after we put it all together...and baked it at 475*, it was the BEST pizza we have ever made...the crust was the best, Jerry, the best!...

Then, on the journey, saw a donut shop that was new to us...and just had to give it a whirl....another line...egads...hey, everyone was adorned with them masks...the cost was a bit extravagant, to say the least...$17 for 6...ah, what?...and, let me tell you...they were not anything special...there are better ones in the super...really...never again...duh...hey, the ones I made a couple of weeks back, put these to shame...a truth...

Certainly one of the hardest things to do as human beings, is to quarantine...to not see and be with others...time can break down the will to succeed in the shuttering...as we were invited to a dinner with  two other couples...just can't do it...and heard of others, having dinners, with very good friends...like in one community 'if caught' are fined $200...thus, the self policing of a community...hmmm, what say you?...the price is heavy, if there is a virus spread...stay strong, kids...er, safe...it is a dilemma...just thinking this thru...do the people wear masks at the dinner table, well, all the time they are at the site?...is that sufficient?...gosh, I dunno...

Thus, the advent of the Zoom Mtg...an alternative to the above...not as nice, but gosh, it is way cool to see and hear your friends...like LIVE...hey, TT, we can all boil our meat at the same time...and eat in unison...ah, whatever that means...sorta like a dinner party...

Snooki's song of the day...'Come On and Get Higher' by Matt Nathanson...hmmm, are these real songs, dude?...or are you just making them up?...he said this actually has someone cover it, too...Jennifer Nettles...well, Sugarland...who, with Kristian Bush, forms that group...but, she is the strength...and it used to be a trio...Kristen Bell, dropped out...right before they got big...wait, who is Matt Nathanson?...

Speaking of the Zoom...Snooki didn't show yesterday...as he fell asleep, sweltering in the 88* degree temp in Orygun...and missed the all important shindig that 'she' set up...something about age in the mix, here...

So sorry to see the passing of Little Richard...87...man, he was the impetus of so many singers...'Long Tall Sally', 'Lucille', 'Tutti Frutti', 'Keep A-Knockin', to just name a few of his hits, and songs that were covered by many others...his upbeat was legendary...hey, is...

Well, all you MOTHERS of the World...thank you...this is a pix of me mum and our son, Cris...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
