The WNBA Virtual Draft

This was a nice change to the day...and highly needed...some good news...as ESPN aired the ladies pro hoops draft...which is called the WNBA...3 of the first 8 taken, were all from the same collegiate team...the mighty Ducks of Oregon!...has that happened before?...the gals were Ionescu, Sabally, and Hebard....listen to this...the GM's of the league were ready, too....as the 3 rounds were done...finished...completed...in less than 40 minutes!...36 players...is there any other draft that is that efficient, in ANY league?...nope...

Want more?...there is a study that was just released...that SUNLIGHT, heat and humidity will conquer this virus...!...of course, this will hit the rest of the planet very soon...we now hope and pray for the summer...if true,  but Lordy, we have had lots of studies...awaiting the inoculation for the bloody thing...can't tease you this much...Yahoo news released it...and it is based from Seattle...

People are antsy...as the politicians want to start to open things up...right?...the powers to be have done so for the Florida beaches...as you might imagine, it is a banner day for the surf...as thousands have flocked there...doing their best to keep the 6 ft barrier...but, gosh, if you have seen the vids, the peoples are there...too soon?...well, not around here, kids...as we have added yellow caution tape all over the place...

I asked the Q yesterday, 'who has been issued and received the printed stimulus check?'...got lots of responses...and one did...hmmm...some said in their direct deposit...yes, I know that...patience, Horse, patience...is the delay due to him (grr) wanting his name on the checks?...of course...

The 8 pm, and some who do the same at 7 pm...celebration of solidarity...which is alive and well in downtown SD, has been gaining momentum EVERYWHERE!...even in communities of houses...listen, we are all in the same boat...must give thanks and encouragement to those who battle it, on a daily basis...saw a 'star' doing so in LaLa Land...this is a good thing...

Snooki's song of the day...'Free' by the Zach Brown Band...hmmm, I didn't think the PNW bloke ventured into the country field...must have pushed the wrong button on his radio...hey, recall the push button radios?...in ALL cars...yea, I actually had a 'wonder bar' on my '56 Olds...the precursor to the scan button, now...

Zoomsters...Marsh had a meeting with some of her old high school chums...ah, did I say 'old?'...I mean, recent grads...well, not too recent...sounded like they had a grand 'old' time...gosh, there is that 'old' again...I mean, fun...this Zoom thing is one positive attribute to this quarantining...rekindling 'old' friendships...dang it all, I don't mean 'old', but past friendships...something like that...and...Marsh did purchase the app, for unlimited timing...this done, prior to the receiving of the stimulus check...

As we await the naming of the VP for Joe Biden...one of the underlying things that is happening...is the push for the women of the party to rise up...and be heard...something tells the Horse, that Michelle Obama is part of this plan...to what degree, I do not know...say tuned...

I am in limbo land...without a jigsaw puzzle on the table...one is supposedly 'on the way'...hey, how much do you have 'on the way?'...just a hunch, that you order as much as I do...

Well now, it is the weekend...hard to believe it, huh...c'mon sunshine...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
