The Numbers

What a dramatic opening to the week...the stock market...the Futures...falling 1255 points!...PANIC!...what to do?...coronavirus?...the Saudi's unloading oil at a bargain basement price?...people fearing, well, fearing whatever?...self-quarantining...what many lawmakers are considering?...let's go...

This too shall pass...but when?...I wish I had better news for ya...but, the facts are that it is worldwide, not just in the USA...the moving parts are much like an octopus...so many tentacles that go so many directions...the virus appears to be the trigger point...I am guessing...the inference is that we are going to just 'shut down' and hibernate...thus, the panic buying of TP and water, for instance...???...I dunno...

Traveling may come to a standstill...at least on mass market vehicles...streets may be shuttered...businesses will curtail hours and people will lose wages...hmmm, what be the length of all this?...weeks?...months?...egads...what is going on?...

To what level of containment are we talking?...one of my great outlets, is the world of sport...not only the golf, but the watching of the games...there is panic in the eyes of the owners, schools, and players of them...shall the arenas be closed?...the games go on, but in front of empty seats?...do not disregard this idea, as the powers to be are contemplating exactly this...we may be glued to the TV screen...many of us...

OK, let's lighten up a bit...

The Lady Ducks won the Pac 12 T in Vegas...there were crowds there...no panic...in a very complete romp over the highly rated Stanford Cardinal...solidifying a number ONE seed in the Big Dance...they play like this, and they could topple South Carolina...true dat...

The PGA...Englishman, Terrell Hatton, won it...well, survived a brutal tourney in Orlando...the course was mostly unfair...as only 4 blokes (like REAL pros) could beat par for the 4 days of hacking...hey, I wonder if he still lives in Britain?...most move out, due to their taxation...

The Windsor Family...er, the Royal Family....of that place Great Britain...a series that was aired on CNN...if you ask moi, the fam is a miserable clan of humanity...spoiled beyond belief...well, the Brits appear to love and adore them...hmmm, they are all yours...how do I really feel?...

NBA...the LaLa Lakers beat the Clip Joint...supposedly, a home game for the Clippers...NO!...LA is the Lakers...anyhoo, LeBron and the Brow, took turns whupping the Clips...the same feeling I get, er got, when the Chargers thought...that they could go to LA and be successful...ain't gonna happen...should a stayed in SD...and, so should have the Clippers...

How much is your cable bill?...yea, you do get the internet...and the HD feed...right on...but, after it is all said and done, the bill for us, is about $365!...a month!...and that is what they call it a 'package deal'...which includes a phone line...that we will never, ever use...I keep hearing about an alternative...You Tube TV...sounds fine..but...you still have to have the internet?...so, you still have to be hooked up to CABLE?...help me out, kids...how about the AT&T version of the TV?...anyone out there use that?...

One more to add for the endorsing season...Cory Booker inks his name for Joe Biden...hey, in tomorrow's mini ST vote...it could be a huge night for Biden...got this feeling...

The Repubs want to resurrect the Biden's son issues in the Ukraine...ah, listen dudes, if one wants to go into kids...the entire Trump offspring will get crucified...let's deal with the dads...not the kids...

Lord, the numbers opened at -1800...

Well, I didn't give ya'll much positive today...sorry, kids...there isn't much out there...

So, put on your mask, stay away from crowds, keep you hands away from your face, and, for gosh sake, don't shake anyone's hands...OK, then have a good day....oh my...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
