Lock Down

For as often as I can give ya'll diversions, the California Governor went elsewhere...stating that there is a proclamation of a Lock Down...to only go outside for essential things...wooah...as we were out and about yesterday, dodging the rain...on a mini-bike ride...no mas...does that mean, no golf?...clarity, we need clarity...I will tell you that there were so very few people out, anywhere, already...so much for diversionary tactics...

I listened to Marsh talk on the tele to so many people, doing what we all are doing...going stir crazy...talking, texting, communicating, and on top of it all, isolating...all this, and I see 2 cruise ships docked at the bay...both Disney...how can this happen?...did they not get the Guv's memo?...

Word out also, that a couple of Congressionals, sold stock before the word got out on the Pandemic...insider trading and well, actions worthy of some fines (extreme) and perhaps, some time in the pokey...kind of hard to be a believer of the Congressional people after the last year of shenanigans, right?...

This book I am reading is not very complimentary about the present regime...especially the Boss and his kids...duh...Ivanka has her nose into most everything...yet, she has no official title...let's just say, if you are thinking that the leadership is a bit in disarray, you are completely correct...

Can't help but think...that so many people are financially hurting by all this...hunkering down and well, surviving...we are in the freezer mode...cooking whatever we find in it...how about you?...we have lots of bone in chicken thighs...ha ha...

Maybe this might help...but Kelsea Ballerini has a new album out today...so ya'll can groove to some new tunes as you let the day unfurl...

Shouldn't be happening...but watch out for this...price gouging...limited stock...extreme demand...costs of the item goes up...noticed, for example, the gallon of skim milk was normally $2.49...the other day it was $3.09...hmmm...coincidence?...we will be escaping the lock down today, and heading to the super...will see what the prices are like...and report to u...

Diversion...NFL...as the players are going all over the place...meaning they are either moving, or being traded...RB Gurley, a one time highly regarded player, opted out of LA to Atlanta...the life of a RB in the league is about 4-5 seasons...they get so banged up...where as a QB could easily last a decade...they, are protected, my good friends...

ESPN is running an absurd bracket of the best in basketball, collegiate days...in their boredom...and lack of sport...and viewers...came up with a bracket of 64...guys and gals, together...imagine this, and true,  round 1 has Wilt Chamberlain vs the Duck's Sabrina...what?...

Get out your shears, kids...the next to close will be the barber shops and hair salons...happened right now in NYC...poor Marsh, as she will be tailored by moi...and myself?...long hair it is...well, same for her...what is a mullet?...

It's 7 am...normally, I would see gads of lights from neighboring condos lit up...people getting ready for something...by gads, I mean like a hundred or more...listen, today I see TWO!...guess everyone is sleeping in...

Just got word that the Sycuan golf course is CLOSED until further notice...stay home, kids...

And so it goes, this FRIDAY, the 20th of March...the birthdate of our grandson, Cyrus Allan Joseph Shepard!...we be so proud!!!  the pits?...we can't be there to help celebrate...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
