Throwback Thursday

I kidded about the song of Cher's...'If I Could Turn Back Time'...would we indeed?...doesn't work that way, now does it...but, we can reminisce a bit...and why not?...we were at a happy hour at Huntington Beach and the waitress told me that I looked like a 'Bee Gee' type of guy...what on earth does that mean?...was that a slap or a compliment?...of course, I had shades on...with a derby cap...and sporting me Zombies shirt...ha ha...which she had no idear who they were...as we were listening to a group that sure sounded like the B-52's....ha ha...whatever...we must have been over-served...

I'm listening to 70's music...is there a better song than 'Let's Stay Together' by Al Green?...top 10 on me list...perfect for this Valentine's Day weekend...wait, a day can be a weekend?...apparently...where shall we dine?...if it were up to moi, it would be Eddie V's...but, listen kids, it is for her...is sushi romantic?...I don't think so...back to the drawing board...er, planning...

Throwback...when is the last time you have gone into your closet and rid yourself of all them clothes you no longer wear?...back in Orygun, I had summer, fall, and winter garments...but, we are in sunny SD now...the excuses are limited...I did this a bit back and now have 2 pairs of blue jeans...I think Marsh is down to one...as an example...

Watched some NBA hoops last eve...I sure miss pattern play...now it is pick and roll...or drive and dish...and EVERYONE else spots up for a 3 ball...boring and totally unimaginative...these dudes who get paid to 'coach' this method are stealing bucks...you and I could do it...and hate every moment...sorry, Lakers, it is true...now, they have like 6 coaches sitting on the bench...doing what?...collecting their paychecks...

James Taylor...the 'Mudslide Slim' dude...has got an album coming out soon...all covers...you ever been to one of his concerts?...way cool...such a soothing voice and mild delivery...'You've Got A Friend'...wait, mild?...I meant more groovy...'Handy Man'...hey, has lots of rad stuff to dig on...

For you who have followed me for some time now...you will get a kick out of this...hate my new coffee maker...can it be that hard to come out with a good one?...c'mon...just want a hot, deep dark, French roast cup of Joe...is it that hard to do?...guess so...any suggestions out there?...

This is a Trump free day...gosh, I wish that was really the truth...OK, this...one of me playing partners  asked the Q, 'you gonna vote for the socialist Sanders now?'...'Trump is better than them all'...you can see that golf is not the only difficult thing on the course...

Yea, I played the Imagine album after watching the documentary....hmmm, the lead song was so much better than all the rest of the stuff...much better...

I'm sure you have watched magicians and card trick people do things that completely baffle ya...it's all an illusion...but, how do they do it?...hypnosis?...it's like someone making you 'out of your mind'...really?...tick tock tick tock...can't imagine it...

Why don't the women candy people use Helen Reddy's 'I Am Woman' as their song to get more people behind them?...terrific and pointed...c'mon Amy, dig it up...

Back in the 70's you put your money in the bank and let the interest accrue...now, you NEVER do that...how come?...are banks without value?...enquiring minds want to know...

Now for the final throwback of the day...I must say these things...Marsh looks the
same to me...you see many of me posts and it is a truth...and all without some botox, cuts, and or anything done...oh my...a jewel...but moi?...ha ha...look at this pix from the 70's...for whatever reasons...I do not ever remember having a beard (Injuns can't grow 'em), and can't recall the tee shirt, but do recall the camper van...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
