The Leap Year

Funny how things are...as almost NO one has been talking about this once in a 4 year phenomena...the Leap Year...where for one out of the four years, an extra day is added to the calendar...thus, this year we have 366 days...in reality, we have 365 and a quarter days each year...so, we add an extra day once every 4 years to compensate...got it?...from the believe it or not files, this was started by the one and only Julius Caesar...yea, he was the one that started up the casino in Vegas, too...well, tongue in cheek, but this whole process started in 45 BC...c'mon, really?...so it is written...and now, YOU KNOW the reason for the season...the Horse rests...

Why oh why the month of February has but 28 days, and then the 29th...well, it is the way it is...I no likea, cuz I have to pay the bills a couple of days early...think about the poor soul that is born on Feb 29...has but one birthdate, every 4 years...almost as bad as being born on, or, around Christmas...where is the justice in that?...that is, if one celebrates the birthdays...some don't...we do...in fact, we call it the birthday week...

What a horrific week for the stock market...blame it on whatever you want...but, there are some who say it was a correction...BS...the fears are monstrous for this latest virus...that, certainly is world wide...makes you wonder about staying home...is the right thing to do...I won't even look at our stock cash...can't....won't...gonna let this all play out...blind folded...so to speak...March will be coming in like a lion...right?...fingers crossed...

The NBA...very quietly, the LaLa Clip Joint has been constructing a very powerful squad...the underlying thing, is their depth...listen kids, their 2nd unit is better than PDX's first...at least, so better coached....there I go again...it's true...well, last eve, they pummeled a very good Denver Nugget team...to show you and I, what they are becoming...perhaps, the best in the league...hear me Lake Show?...

A very curious, yet welcomed announcement out of Afghanistan...that we and the Taliban, have ceased the war...?...I thought we already had...and in 14 months, our troops will be outta there...surely, not home...but, no longer in Afghanistan...didn't Russia do the same thing before we got into the scuffle with them?...stay clear of that country...

You often see in the web net...20 or so reasons for something happening...and then you punch on the item...and it takes you to 20 different screens, right?...well, I saw one that said 'the 40 store chains that will close soon'...like sooner than later...egads, if true...Amazon will be too soon, the only choice we will have for shopping...and EVERYTHING will be online...depressing?...you bet, as I like to go to stores and see the products...try them on...test them out...feel the thangs...this could be a history test...

We have been in a terrific set of 80* days around here in south SoCal...the Beamer's top has been down...and it is way cool, well, warm....dang it all, the weather gal is calling for some precipitation by Sunday...just a wrecking the mood...she should get a pink slip...

Donny has been forewarned by his new leader on the virus (Pence)...even tho, he has called the severity of it in the US, a Democratic HOAX...he decided to get a mask, you know, just in case...pictured here is what he got...he ain't no foo...

There is a new article out, about the dangers of the diet colas...hmmm...one is caught between a rock and a...well, you know, the slang...sugar or no sugar...and if you were a better person, you wouldn't have any cola at all...but, what would I put in my bourbon?...see, I have no choice...thus,  I am NOT a better person...

The votes are being cast in South Carolina...the race for the Demos could turn upside down today...and put Joe Biden back in the race BIG time...

This next month has lots of good items on it...kind of exciting in many ways...concerts with Blake Shelton, Chicago, and Dancing With The Stars...visits by our good buddies, them Gahrs..and a trip to the kids, for Cyrus's first birthday...via Amtrak...couple all that with Marsh doing her yoga thing and me doing me golf...well, it is gonna be a great one...

And FINALLY, start your day out right...plop on the vinyl...the Best of Johnny Mathis and YOUR day is starting off the best way...possible...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
