While in Vegas, we were amidst lots of political chaos...starting with our arrival...as we were harbored on the tarmac for almost an hour, as Air Force 1 was either coming or going...we could see it outside of our starboard side...ah, well, to the left...Trump's plane...I guess that is what happens...as the laborers all said the same thing, 'he has been going in and out of Vegas, for his rabid revivals, for the past 2 or 3 days...it shuts down the airport...'...he must be staying at his Vegas Tower...which was in our bloody eyesight for the stay, too...boo...
The caucus for the elections, were in their heyday on Saturday...geez, throw in the heavyweight fight, the elections, the NASCAR race out at the track, and the loads of people in town for the gambling and shows...well, you can imagine the crowds of people...yup, it was slammed...too bad it wasn't like 80*, so we could use the pool...as we were staying at the Mirage...where the Horse has some free days...you know, the whale thang...ha ha...naw, just a perk of the M Club...in reality, it is a great place to stay...
The results...of the Demo race...runway win for Bernie...he got the young voters out...and the Latinos...hmmm....is this the wave?...perhaps, as the next vote in South Carolina will be the tipping point for Biden...if he does well, the race is on...if not, it may be a slam dunk for Sanders...you know there are people who try to negatively place a socialist moniker on Bernie...is that worse than having a dictator in Trump?...let me repeat this...and I don't know why the Demos don't use this more...isn't it better than having a dictator in Trump?...
The major reason for the trip to LV...we, as well as them Morrises, got tix for what we called it, a special event...a concert by the one and only, Cher...you know her, the half of Sonny and Cher...we fly there, pay for a dog sitter, take Uber everywhere, gamble a bit, pay for spendy meals...the days of the 99 cent breakfasts, are gone baby...well, you know the whole thing...they drove 5 hours from the dessert...you know what I mean, it is a crusade for the both of us...get dressed up in our finest garb....take the Uber to the MGM...get to the door, to be greeted by this sign...'she be sick and can't perform tonight'...what the hell?...Cher Tweeted out that she is sooooo sorry...forgive moi, as she rarely does this...fact is, as Marsh investigated...she does this often...boooooo...I figure she was next door at the heavyweight fight...ticked off were we?...you betcha...
We did catch a show the nite before, so not all was a loss...George Wallace...out at the Westgate, which used to be the Hilton...don't ask me where it is...as all we did was ask the Uber driver to take us there...wherever it was...Wallace was funnier than, well, he was a funny dude...I think for the most part he just ad-libbed, and then did end up with some regular stuff...as there was some psynco music played...synco?...shoot, I dunno the word...give me a break...if you go to Vegas, he is a must see...
How did my gambling go?...for the most part, I was up...really...but, the horses and the 'let it ride' did not fare well...but, listen kids...I came back with most of me money, and very few blokes can say that...ha ha...
Have you peaked at the stock market today yet?...might be one that you stay clear of...
One of the for sure things, one must do...is to get to the Bellagio...where they have this area that they feature some gorgeous flower arrangements...which they change often...Marsh has to go there every single time we go to Vegas...pix here is the current one...you see what I mean?...
Finally...each morning we ventured down to the coffee bean ( shop?)...and had a cup of Joe...they had Starbucks...why can't I have, er make, a cup that tastes that good?...it is hotter...it is more full of flavor...why can't I do that?...I have a mission to get that...I must...I desire that for every single morning...it makes my morning so much better...it drives me...crazy, baby...egads, we just ordered a crazy highly rated coffee maker...you know, cuz, we had some $ after getting back...check it out...Technivorm Moccomaker...ah....made in the Netherlands...
Forgot this...SDSU finally lost a game...to, of all teams, UNLV...in SD!...almost bet the game...whew, did not...too many points...odd weekend as numbers 1, 2, and 4 ALL got beat...Baylor and Gonzaga, too...
And, whatever Patrick Reed has in his veins, it is amazing...he wins, when a lot of people are pulling against him....
