Catch A Falling Star

Well, the headline could have multiple meanings, right?...'Catch a falling star, and put it in your pocket...and save it for a rainy day...'...what star type am I referring?...are politicians stars?...sports peops definitely are...movie guys and gals are...right?...singers?...sure...

One wonders why people would sacrifice everything they have to run for the presidency of our country...as that is what they do...their funds, their livelihoods, their history...their families...they must feel the need and responsibility of doing it...I give them my applause and sometimes, condolences...it can be brutal...and when they fall from the stardom...just how can they pick themselves up?...two in particular are facing this...Joe Biden and Eliz Warren...each, at times, led the pack of the Demos...Biden must score in South Carolina...and for those of you who have Warren as your Prez candy woman, that ship has sailed...

Is there a rising star?...Mike Bloomberg...who just 'qualified' for tomorrows debate in Vegas...well, in Nevada...geez, where we are heading...maybe we will see them stars while we are there....did he buy his way in?...the numbers are staggering, over $400 million bucks of advertising thus far...if you got, use it...a great line I heard, in reference to a combative Trump by Mike, 'where we are from, we measure your height from the neck up'...anyhoo, he is in the mix for the next debate, and let us judge where he measures up...ha ha...

Falling stars...guess I am a bit negative today...sorry...but, with the amount of useless flicks that get released, it seems like there are a lot of rich, but glory less stars roaming about the Hollywood Hills nowadays...their fault or the producers?...listen, each and every 'Oscar worthy' film we have seen is average at best...and many that we turn off at or before half time...it's true...

The Bachelor...more of them falling stars...as Pilot Pete has narrowed his one true love down to 3 gals...one who is trouble, one who is the probable, and one who is saving herself for marriage...ah, she could be on the wrong show...and Pilot Pete has got himself in a doozy of a complicate mess...ha ha...last nite, he met most of the parents...man, that would be awful...

American Idol...now this would be rising stars...whew, I can get myself out of the doldrums...and you too...so, here goes...they started up this week...already, there were 2 dudes and 1 gal that are worthy...like for real...just beginning...

Talk about hard to catch a falling star, or a rising one...country gals on the airwaves...there is a story out in one of the sites, that digs into the lack of play time...of their songs...that there is room for only lady ballad on the radio at one time...what?...it's one of the reasons that I don't listen to country radio...it's all guys songs...

Another falling star...the head coach of the very proud North Carolina Tar Heals...like the dudes team...is getting hammered this season...apparently a bad recruiting class...Roy Williams...in his post game rants now is turning to cussing up a storm...makes you know, that it's all about talent, and less in how you do what you do...love seeing the fall...ha ha...gosh, I am somewhat morbid...

XFL football...you see kids, there is yet another pro league in the works...fledgling...one of their schticks is to do more sideline reporting...interviews of the combatants...so, the reporter asked the QB of the losing team what was going wrong....he replied "change our whole offensive scheme at halftime"...ha ha...he has since been benched, and yes, another falling star...

I detest Lindsay Graham...oops...and hope his star becomes extremely tainted...

I will end today's rant about this...and it has been a minor rant...the Houston Astros were penalized by MLB for their electronic stealing of signs...all but the players, that were doing it...odd, huh...did not have to give back their World Series Plaque...weird...and now...MLB is saying if that any pitcher that throws at the Astros they will be suspended...say what?...protect the players that they already protected...isn't that a double?...this whole thang is way over this commish's head...and he should be...removed...done...rant done...

Sure one more...Trump...took great joy in showing up at the Daytona 500...he must think that this is his people...and published a picture of his plane, the Prez Plane, surrounded  by adoring fans...the thing is...it was THE plane...but NOT his...it was when Prez Bush was there...the star, not the FAKE one...

And...the song, 'Catch A Falling Star' was sung by Perry Como...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
