The Little Things

Sometimes it is the LITTLE THINGS that trigger mass amounts of discussion...something that has very little relevance in the BIG scheme...but, somehow it blows up into something that has extreme pertinence to a reality...of importance...say what?...this notion that he may have or may not have...said that a woman could not be elected the President in the US of A...Bernie Sanders to Elizabeth Warren ( allegedly)...she says he said it, he said he didn't...and there we go...

Who KNOWS the depth of the conversation back in 2018...is this a ploy by the Warren campaign?...another talking point to sway people away from his camp to hers?...or might he have been belligerent in their personal talk?...lawdy, the jury is out...might he have said it 'tongue in cheek?'...ah, there has yet to be a woman Prez in the country...it is a truth...

Is this a talking point to roust out the women of the country to get into action?...just in case, they aren't already?...I saw, booyah...all for it...whatever it takes to get excited about the upcoming election...GREAT!...the numbers are needed...find a measuring stick and use it...

More info on the shot down Ukranian passenger plane...that it actually was hit by TWO missiles...somewhere we have to do as human beings, to cherish and value...life...we need a World commitment to peace...and right now, we have nothing...

Sports...

The ongoing 'stealing of signs' saga is apparently expanding...only two clubs were doing it via the technology way?...shoot, that's what players are trying to do all the time...sorry I got right into this too soon...Major League Baseball, I am referring to...on all levels of play, that is what baseball dudes do...I guess, the technology thing is the difference...ESPN did a segment on when it was done like in the 1920's, via a telescope...and, I am sure it has been going on since...wouldn't surprise me if there were at least half the teams NOW doing so...a parallel to the steroids time?...weren't they all using?...

Politics...

We did not watch the debate last eve...celebrating M's birthday...but, I spent a goodly amount of time this am, reading the takeaways from it...who won, and who lost...what were the main topics and on and on...it's like asking a critic about a movie...there were some who vehemently believed that Mayor Pete was the clear winner...and some who said, he was clearly 'out of his element'...that Joe and Amy were the best...sure, there were those who said that Elizabeth was the victor...c'mon...if I were to summarize, it appears that it was a standoff...but one thing stood out clearly, Bernie and Elizabeth did NOT shake hands at the conclusion...still in a spat about the 'quote'...

Padres...

Haven't gone here much lately...but, an interesting thing has emerged out of Vegas...them betting boys...assuming it is boys, maybe, Elizabeth, it is really girls...I digress...there is a wagering item of curiosity...an over/under line of games that one can bet on for the number of wins for a season by a team...normally, the mighty Padres are right about in the 70-72 range...this year, the number is 83!...what?...significant uptick...at least in the betting world...

Feel good...

Just wondering out loud...what does it take to make your mate feel good?...mind out of the gutter...flowers?...presents?...cleaning the house?...cooking the meals?...heaping praise?...go on a date?...I wanna know...what is the trick...the goal should always be, to make them feel wanted...sometimes, we miss the mark...what do you do?...

Vinyl...

Ok, you may be saying, 'here you go again, Horse'...but, hear me out, kids...it slows down your life...take a vinyl out of it's jacket...plop it on the turntable...and enjoy the music for 25 minutes or so...your rush rush world will be on standby...really...so, following my script...find yourself a turntable...get a good one...and then some vinyl...maybe, you already have some from way back when...it is a perfect mood setter...you can thank me later...did that yesterday, played the best of Frank Sinatra...terrific...

Hoops...

We all know that Clemson is a real threat in football to win the crown every year...but, they are doing something that they haven't done like near forever...win in hoops...this past week they beat North Carolina...and the HC of the Tar Heals announced that the powers to be should fire him...getting whupped by Clemson...hold da phone NC's brass...the impeccable Duke Blue Devils went into Clemson's stadium...and VOILA!...the Tigers beat Duke, too!...wooah, maybe the Duke brass should fire Coach K, too...ha ha...

Lawyering...

First of all, I can't believe Rudy Giuliani isn't already in the pokey...but, there are some out there in Trumpland, that want him to run his defense in the upcoming Impeachment Trial in the Senate...sounds great to moi...ha ha...there are late breaking items tying him into more scandal in the Ukraine...thing is, do the Senators give a rats ass that this is happening?...as I keep saying, just sit back and watch our government work as it shall...nuttin' we can do about it...

Smart...

This just out...and makes me smile...'Make Me Smile', by Chicago...great song...but, not my point...Joe Biden...made a grand gesture...and a tipping point perhaps for me...that he would put Kamala Harris where ever she wanted to be, ie, as the Vice President...
