But it FEELS like a Monday

Top of the morning, to ya'll!...we are back to norm here in SoCal...sunny, warm, and cloud free...it's way cool to see the sun thru the shades of the living room...er, great room...whatever it is called...and yet it is a Tuesday...May 28...but, doesn't it feel like a Monday?...

We had a most unusual incident happen yesterday...our front door of the Bosch oven does not close properly...have had repair peops out, and they said what was needed were new hinges...ordered them and then got a repair dude out to install them...sounds easy, right?...here we go...he spoke some English...OK...demanded a spot to park...note, the word 'demanded'...as we told him what was needed...he gave a totally quizzical look at us...did he understand?...

We watched from afar, as to what he was doing...he ended up taking the entire oven out of the enclosure...odd...then, asked for a chair?...what?...as he apparently needed something to rest the unit on....we have since learned that he (we think the same dude) would have taken the whole unit out and rested it on the floor, as he did in another 'repair'...

He told Marsh that the hinges were not the right ones...well, we guess he was saying that...and she quizzed him further...'well, can you just take off the door?'...he did not know how...it is a thing that just pops off, via the web net...Marsh stepped up and told him 'we are uncomfortable with you going any further, so please just put the unit back together as you found it'...

Suddenly, his English improved...as he promptly took out his writing pad...wrote that we 'refused service and were uncomfortable with him to finish the job'...asked me to sign the note....which I did...assuming that he would put the oven back in, the way he found it...INSTEAD...he took his paper, and walked down the hallway...and OUT THE DOOR!...

Leaving us with the oven ajar, and at least 12 screws that went somewhere...this is Axis Repair...be forewarned...if you live in our area...we have since learned that others have REFUSED service from that company in our building...a little late, for us, dang...

And so...

The mighty Padres were in another zone...as they (we) got whupped by the NY Yankees...in the Bronx...5-2...a test of where we are...still not on the level we need to be...well, another test today...on the next echelon...the Bums beat the Mets in LaLa...yes, kids, the Dodgers are the real deal...decidedly better than us...

We await the finals of the NBA....the Canadian Raptors vs the American Warriors...I am just jesting here...Toronto vs Golden St...will KD play?...naw...how about Boogie?...yes...will the series go 7?...nope...who will win?...unlike what I have been predicting all season long...the Warriors will win...3 peat...there you go...

Bill Buckner passed on yesterday...only 69...dementia...he was a super star in MLB...unfortunately known for a WS error...too bad, as he was 20 yr vet of star quality hitting...

You watching the Bachelorette?...yes, I am...Hannah is a nice person...fun...could you have ever done the show?...lawdy, not moi...but, I could see YOU doing it...

The amount of people climbing Mt Everest is alarming...some photos have so many chained together in their attempt...my guess there is but a narrow window of appropriate weather to do so...in this season, 11 have died in their mission...count me as one, who don't get the rush...but, obviously, many do...

Have you tried the Impossible Burger yet?...Burger King...Carl's Jr has their version...plant based concoction, that is dang similar to a beef burger...really...the catch?...the cost is a bit much...the Horse has done a vege burger of his own....like way back when...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
