The 26th

The day after...gosh, it was a grand day...Family...that's all I need to say...hope yours was as nice...so, we already start planning for the next one...it's what we do...

Hey, how about the hoops?...all day long, if ya'll wanted...seems to me, that the best of the lot, was the battle of LaLa...two of the elite...the Lakers and the Clippers...as the 'home' team for the night, was the Lake Show...the visitor won...LeBron and Co. blew it...not that the Clip Joint isn't better...they both were playing hard...diving for balls, and taking charges...stuff that doesn't happen until the playoffs...usually...terrific play by the rascal Patrick Beverly...as the Clips were nursing a 3 point lead in the waning moments...not only stripped the ball from LeBron, but it caromed off his hands to give the ball and game to LaLa, er, Clippers...I keep saying this, but, I am not sure that James is a closer, anymore...

The other intriguing one was the Rockets at the bottom dwelling Warriors...a total mismatch, and had to be off the charts point spread...Coach Kerr devised a double on the Beard once he got over 1/2 court...that was it...couple that with the Rockets other 'star', Westbrook...who couldn't throw it into the ocean from the beach...but kept flinging it over and over...'keep shooting it, dude'...win for the Dubs...go figure...

Oh my, we have turned on the heat...what?...happens maybe 4 times a year...this is one of them...

Bowl game around here...well, over at the Q...or whatever it is called now...the Holiday Bowl...Iowa and USC...just betting that the Hawkeye fans are bewildered by this weather...thinking that the sun and warmth was supposed to be in San Diego...I say, that they brought it with them, this rain and cold...I'd like to go over and watch the spectacle, if I could just find the USC bloke who wanted to duke it out with Snooki...take his pix and have him sign something...then, send the pair up to the PNW...who is the rascal, now?...

You'd think that Teerump would put his Tweeting on hold for the Christmas break...alas, not...his ongoing barrage of verbal attacks on the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi...continues...has he no shame?...ha ha...like there is but one answer...

My % of correct bowl game picks are now approaching record numbers for futility...would have done better if I would have chosen by colors of the uniforms...or, flipping a coin...maybe, by the number of letters in the school's name...who has the better mascot?...anything, would have been better than my 'expert' method of choosing...

OK, NOW, are there crazy sales out?...ah ha, not that I have seen...

Have a great day, after...and believe this or not...we have SNOW in the mountains... like 4 to 8 inches...right up there in Julian...just updated...12-16 inches!...geez, even in Ramona...2300 ft...30 minutes away from us...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
