14, If You Are Counting

Morning, all...hey, it's getting close to the day that the presents you have ordered WILL be delivered before...Xmas...FOURTEEN days to go...so, get it on...is it just me, or are there fewer HUGE price reductions than in years past?...maybe the stores, are a waiting to closer to the day...then, gauging how their sales are going...and then adjusting...

We are preparing for the kids and their kid....our grandson Cyrus...to come for Christmas...one of the things, is to get a high chair for him...off we went to IKEA...really a unique place...ideas that makes you ponder if that would work in your world...and got the needed tool for the boy to eat...ha ha...amongst other needed (?) items...geez, have you ever had their Swedish meatballs?...yea, neither have we...

Now, I said that I wouldn't comment MUCH on the impending doom of Donny...but, his lack of character, so evident in his 'revival' in Pennsylvania last eve...made me cringe...for you who are believers, do you actually listen to what he says?...does that not embarrass you?...and one more thing...his declaration that HIS abuse of power 'is not impeachable'...ah, more of his 'executive privilege'...finally, I read that someone said to 'pray for him, he has withstood so much scrutiny'...oh my, pray for him who doesn't...of course, I could go on...and on...and on...and on...

Told you yesterday about the absurd baseball contract of the Nat's Strasburg...but, the NY Yankees went one step further...signing the other prized 'free' agent...Cole...something like $324 million bucks for 9 years...obnoxious...NINE years as a pitcher...if he lasts that long, injury free, and effective, I will be the most surprised bloke in the USA...that signing alone is at least 3 times what the average TEAM salaries are for ONE season...

Another shooting...this time in New Jersey...and I hope not a sign of the times...an attack on a Kosher Market...what?...

College hoops...the guys...with the one and done thing, for the players...as they can then go the NBA after one season...it becomes weird to sign up a player to come to your university, knowing he will probably be gone after the season...in lieu of being there for 4...makes the fragile team makeup precarious...witness, the number of number 1 teams, lose...keeps changing...the gals...two of the elite teams in all of the land, are right there in the PNW...the Ducks and the Beavers...both really really talented squads...BTW, their method of play is far preferable than the guys, with the exception of the Virginia guys, who also, are coached to the team oriented game....just saying...

Time mag named their person of the year...the young activist, Greta Thunberg...but...here it comes...Donny Jr had to Tweet (proud daddy, I am sure)...referring to the mag, 'how dare you?...push a teen...'...obviously ticked that Trump wasn't named...he offered that it should have been the Hong Kong protestors...but, yea, can you believe anything that that family EVER says?...nope...

Hmmm...I didn't know that Time was still in circulation...

I had no idea that there were that many Saudi 'pilots in training' in our 3 bases in Florida...way over 300....what kind of deal do we have with them?...
