THUD!

THUD!...went the ranking of the University of Oregon Ducks...from number 6 in the country to, ah, pause...number 14...FOURTEEN!!!...which tells me there were quite a few skeptics in the voting world in the 1st place...well, how this team and coaching staff regroups, will be on display this weekend for the CIVIL WAR...with their arch enemy, the Oregon State Beavers...gosh, kids, a vastly improved squad...

They have had 122 games prior to this upcoming one...talk about deep seeded history...hey, against each other to be clear...for those in the state, there are lines drawn...you are either a Duck or a Beaver...not sure how this is for you Oregonians, but I pull for the Bevos in every game other than the Civil War...you want a prognostication?...the home team has a very slight advantage...it is in Eugene...so much depends on the weather, too...ah, favoring who?...he who runs the best...if nasty rain, wind, and blustery conditions...prevail...

The overall record is UO leading 65-47-10...ten ties...and last year was an abomination, like 55-10 , for the Ducks...you will see none of that this time...28-24...in that area...I dunno, I won't be surprised of the orange gets this game...make this a toss up!...

One of the telling characteristics of pop music these days...is to be able to sing and dance, at the same time...fuggit about the lyrics...it's all about the beat...lost in the translation, is the actual voice...so many 'stars' are produced so heavily by the way they look...and not by the actual song, er songs...thus,  a way out is to 'lip-sync' their songs, live...er, in concert...or in Vegas...well, where ever they are performing...sometimes the actual voice comes thru...and it is not very good...Britney, her sis, and now...the opening act of the AMA's last eve, Selena Gomez...was in that category...she looks good, but sounds bad...

The game of the day, in the NFL, was the matchup between the New England Pats and the Dallas Cowboys...in the northeast...bad, very bad, weather...see above...as TT's boys eaked out a narrow win...the Cowboy nation is calling for the removal of the HC...calm down, people...it was miserable...the D's dominated...and the NE squad was a BIT better...had nothing to do with play calling, so says moi...

Watched the 'Seventies' show on CNN...this topic was the Nixon 'Watergate' years...ah, so eerily similar to what is going on now...how he tried to cover up the break in...and his involvement...makes me wonder...does Trump have tapes of his conversations?...did Obama?...or did they abandon the service after Nixon's?...

The downfall of Nixon was NOT what the testimonies were...it was his own voice on the TAPES...remember the erasing of 15 or so minutes, inadvertently by his secretary?...ah, right...elbow just happened to hit the 'erase' button...there you go...

So, now, we turn on the tele and see what is what...where all this goes today...
