The Here and Now
This version of the NBA...the LaLa Lakers are coming together...even better and quicker than I imagined...they have many options that can swing a game...inside, outside, defensively, vets, and it now appears, camaraderie within their squad...which just may be the biggest asset of them all...after an opening season loss, they have won all the rest...this may be one of those dominating teams that were of the past...where you expect to win EVERY game...oh yea, and they play hard...don't take nights off....
Which brings me to this...'load management'...how about that for a new term in the hoop world...where teams will not play their 'star' for a game...especially on back to back night ones...blame this phenomena on the Spurs coach, Greg Popovich...now, others are doing the same...I get it...but, the public doesn't...the price of the tickets are large, kids...and you plan and all, to see the 'star' in action...and the only place you see the bloke...is on the bench in a 3 piece suit...boo...
The league doesn't like it...and without good enough reason (whatever that may be) they will and have fined the culprits...ah, the team...a virtual slap on the hand, for the type of cash these owner blokes make...one such fine was already given the other LaLa team, the Clip Joint...resting their newbie, Kawhi Leonard...
Now I know I am treading on thin ice on this...regurgitating over repeated rants of poor coaching of the PDX Blazers...but, even tho Dame thru in SIXTY last eve...in Portland...they still lost...let me guess, Kyrie Irving came off of a center screen and had an uncontested jumper...all night long...I read a report on the game, in the Oregonlive...no where in the entire article, was there any mention to...defense...none...just like the play on the floor...figure it out, owners...
Let's stay in sports and head on over to football...with a bye week for the Ducks of Oregon...I gandered at the other state's game...the OSU Beavers...hosting the underperforming Dawgs of Washington...last nite...OMG!...the Beavs did NOT get ONE first down in the 2nd half...ah, this is after the coaches can figure out what to do at half time...right?...in fact, the only score that OSU got was on a pick...don't care how well your D is playing, if they are ALWAYS on the field, they will eventually wear down...sorry, Nancy Boy, but this was a huge odious, stinker...
The game...er THE GAME today...Louisiana State at the entire state of Alabama...the Tide...wait, Auburn is there, too...so, not the entire...so much commotion about what is about to happen...that Teerump is to attend the fray...what?...wait...that's not it...but, true that he is...but the match up itself is a beauty...will the Tide's QB play?...can LSU earn a win?...I like their coach, Coach O...who SHOULD be the HC at USC...another story for another time...12:30 pm tee off...CBS...
Now, let's venture over to DC...or Manhattan, wait, he has vacated that 'home'...Mira Lago, maybe...can't get to Camp David, as that was left in shambles after the Ivanka and Jared bash (probably a joke)...calm down, Horse...the latest that is coming out of where ever the bloke is...hey, it's 'Bama...right?...this is the latest scoop...that he is digging up bones on ANY Republican that is turning on him...gonna use it to get back...Donny would do this?...ha ha ha, of course...to borrow a line that Seth Myers had in his Netflix Show, 'Trump sure has a thin skin for someone who appears to have a very thick skin'...
Suddenly, Teerump wants NO PART of a televised House of Reps interrogation set of sessions...that was just a few weeks back, he didn't care...well, he cares now...too many of his hanger oners are talking trash...er, reality, of what really happened...keep digging up bones, Donny, as fast as you can....
Utah beat somebody 143-49 in a college hoops game last eve...maybe, just maybe, that was a mismatch that shouldn't have been played...and why would you leave your guys in to score that much?...you do know that coach, right?...not my fave...especially now...
DWTS...gotta comment...we just saw the last show...the fan voting is as bizarre as last season, when the not so fine a dancer won, Bobby Bones...this year it is the former worker bee of Donny, Sean Spicer...who by the way, resembles my buddy Snooki (on Halloween)....well, at least on the dance floor...I digress....back to Spicer...who is never in the bottom 2...as the fans vote saves his arse....but, the best part of the show and maybe the season...was a dance off with the Bachelorette and the country singer Lauren....terrific dancing and fun fun fun to watch...
Must talk about the mess of a ____, well I can't say what I really want...but, Jr...his appearance on the View was legendary...BAD...obnoxious as Hell...much easier for me to tell you to find it, and then judge for yourself....ah, he has written a book (really, or like his daddy, used a ghost writer?) that shades the Demos, duh...and will be in Phoenix at a Costco to sign his product...Tuesday...what if no one showed up?...too busy, hiding their bones...ha ha...
For my umpteenth change of choice...I think that Biden will probably win the Demo side of the nomination...
Are you surprised as I am...Mulvaney, Rudy, and well...everyone other than Ivanka and Jared, aren't fired yet...
