Game Day

We have been looking forward to this for about 2 months...Snooki (PNW invader) and I have tix to the UO/USC barnburner (egads, hope not literally) up in LaLa Land, at the Coliseum...great seats, I think...which cost us double the face value...wonder what I would pay for them now, if I might have waited?...oh well...what's done is done...71* at tip off...5 pm...shall be just fine...

The winner of it, has some very nice benefits a coming...if the Ducks, they are skating to the Pac 12 Champ game...if the Trojans, they are going to be on the footsteps of Utah in the south...it's why you play the games, kids...

Watched the Lake Show and the Mavs hoop game out of Dallas on the tele last eve...an abomination of coaching at the end, paved the way for the Lakers to hit a 3 ball, to tie it up at the buzzer...send it to OT, and the purple and gold prevailed...is it just me, or is the level of teaching in the bigs, fallen off to such a level that it is dreadful?...good lord, with all the suits on the bench, you'd think that they could figure it out...

The Warriors are even deeper down...as Green goes out with a mangled fanger...the hits keep right on a coming...and NOT in a good way...oh my...

How's the euphoria in DC over the Nats winning the World Series?...they have been invited to the White House, too...ah, wonder how many of them, decline?...it has already started...the first has announced he won't...

OK...

The list of candy men and women...running for Prez for the Demo side has been reduced...as Beto gave it up....your guy Donny remarked about that 'Beto is a poor bastard, that quit like a dog...'...another class statement from the worst of the worst...and, Kamala has curtailed her campaign...letting a number of her staff go...appears to be imminent...

It is becoming clearer and clearer, that it is a 4 person race...Bernie, Elizabeth, Joe, and Mayor Pete...Iowa is on the docket first...and, my oh my, it is a close one...Warren leading there...but, they are all within 5 points of one another...

This next week will be a dandy in the House...as the 'open' interrogations begin on the impeachment...the topper will be Thursday, when the inquiry might have the hammer come down on it...John Bolton...will he or won't he testify?...Teerump will do everything he can to block him...of course....what will he do?...close down the government?...

Speaking of the present inhabitant of the White House...well, he can live there...but, he is no longer residing in his Tower in Manhattan...has now established residency in his Mara Lago pad, in Florida...you think for tax reasons?...ha ha...seems to me, that he should keep going south...

Madam Secretary, er Madam President...you know my adoration for the CBS Show...it is a dandy...well now, there was a ruckus at the shooting of it...so reported...as the Prez was delivering a speech to a crowd...there was a break...the crowd and the workers scrambled to the buffet line...to get some grub...and a bloke cut into the line...a gal complained...he shoved her...and chaos ensued ....allegedly....

Only hit 1 of 5 at the Breeder's Cup...so am down...will try the ones today...

Think we will have a noon departure to the game...seem about right?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
