Beat Down

My news from the old, yet, grandiose, Memorial Coliseum in LaLa Land...is that the Ducks of Oregon are alive and well, simply on a mission to win the Pac 12...never been in that area, proved to be a test in itself...which appeared to be a simple jaunt up the 405 to the stadium was clearly...NOT!...the atmosphere is much different than anything I have run in to...hmmm, I know I am being pretty generic...but...

My takeaways from the experience...outside of the fact that the Ducks are dang good...is that there are interesting folks everywhere...we were sitting in the midst of nuttin' but Trojan fans...as some may say 'Ducks out of water'...there was an incident, that the PNW invader was involved in...that's it, my lips are sealed...what happens in USC, stays in SC...ha ha...

USC does a thing that bugs the crap out of moi...they put their nationally renowned band in a spot on the end of the field, all by their lonesome...BUT...they then pipe their sound, via humongous speakers...onto the field and the stadium...to make their production WAY TOO LOUD!...moreso, irritating...which even drowns the public address system...

After a very slow start, albeit the Trojans had a fine opening quarter...something happened...whether the line got going a bit, or USC's wore down...I dunno...but the rest of the game was all Ducks...I will say this...QB Herbert was terrific...WR Johnson, was too...the D stepped up, and the special teams were extraordinary...
