Pick 'Em

As the handicappers in the hoss world, say...when a race is too close to call...like in the Democrats field of wannabes...for the 2020 election...they announce it is a 'PICK 'EM' race...well now, maybe not so much...as there are TWO that stand out...er, favorites...so to speak...not that the long shots can't come in and win...similar to the racing world, I reckon...ha ha....it's like a 2 miler, and we are at the club house turn...egads, only the Horse can equate this...yet, tonight we have 12 of the top choices in debate form...so YOU can make up YOUR mind who should be representing YOU...I have my picks, but it is early...and the form is not conclusive...so, I watch and keep handicapping...

I'm afraid that the actions of Trump in Syria may be, outside of the absurd, too late...his thinking that his only way of handling foreign powers...er, situations...is to 'sanction' them...not diplomacy, kids...but, to attempt to bully a country...and declare to Turkey...that he will impose those on the attacking country...will make them stop...egads....as feared, the Kurds are turning to help from others...namely, the Russians...who have already sent troops into the apparent volatile region...call it a quagmire...good lord, who is leading us in the decision making?...let's hope it's not the apprentice alone...hmmm, but I think it is...

The World is waiting for the US to get back to normalcy...in 2020...in hopes that the country will vote in a real leader...and vote out the embarrassment we have in office now...the impeachment will show just how bad it is...and, as I have been saying lately...just watch the show that will emerge on the pixels from Congress...

Polarity...which has propped up its ugly head again...the haves and the have nots...the taxed and the non-taxed...the color of the skin...the police and the policed...no more sinister than the rallies at Trump's gatherings...where he spews hatred and demonic lies...calls out his opponents as evil...and gets his crowd in a frenzy...much like dictators of the past...you name them...we have not seen the likes of this in our lifetime in this country...never before by a USA leader...NEVER...scary, huh...

When the diplomatic side of things, cross over to the sporting world...things get real messy...as in the China/Hong Kong situation...where the NBA has been 'exporting' their product into their mainland...it brings about owners and players getting into the political side of it all...as one fine Ball guy once said, 'stay in your lane'...well, it applies here...

After watching Chapter 5 (maybe 4) of Ken Burn's 'Country Music', I had been reminded of Johnny Cash's passion of the down trodden...the inmates in prison...and, the one that juggled me mind, was his remembrance of the first settlers of this land, the real Natives...who people now call the 'Indigenous People'...man, I dislike the term...should be Native Americans...well, another day for that tale...anyhoo, he wrote and recorded an album of music that was devoted to THEM...which I do NOT have in my vast collection of LP's...I am on the prowl to get it...say what you will about the guy, he had some great parts about him...ah, just ordered via Ebay...

Listen, Donny...it's not a witch hunt, it is a Trump hunt...and it is moving along quite nicely...and thank you for giving the hunters so much fodder...

Other...

The change in the pro sports world...to using the 'instant replays', to get the calls right...really, has made the games better....hmmm, the collegiate world, too...however, there are some parts to it, that I don't get...where some of the calls are deemed 'unreviewable'...which bewilders moi...why not?...get them all right...that takes the pressure off of the ref who may have blown a call...am I right or am I right?...

My handicap is now 13.4, which is about right for Bozos...maybe another 100 might be in order...no prob, I have that in me...

Word out is that there is a new Grisham book...The Guardian...think that is right...love his writing...

I keep asking this Q...why would Trump take the troops out of Syria?...what could have been the possible motives?...what is there for him to gain?...of course, it is all about him...something is wrong here...again...
