National Coffee Day

Not exactly sure who or what we are to celebrate on this day...the coffee bean?...or, the companies that produce the brew?...I dunno, but the Horse can't do without at few, maybe three, cups of it...like every single morning...what the heck, it is National Coffee Day, this September 29th...how do you like yours?...black?...really, shouldn't that be brown?...

In a restaurant, when you order your breakfast, and your coffee...does he or she not ask you how you want your coffee?...black?...what if I said, brown?...sugar?...cream?...I'm sorry kids, for muddling up a very simple little question...but, C'mon....

Here at the zoo, I have gone thru so many ways of brewing up the bean...and seemingly a number of machines that do so...from a grind and brew (3, I think)...to a grinder (for fresh? beans)...to a somewhat normal put in a filter bag, and push the button one (like at least 5)...to what we do now...the ultimate cheezy and easy, the K cup and the Keurig...hmmm, but is it the best flavor?...naw, not at all...the grind and brew wins hands down...but, comes with so many moving parts that it becomes way too difficult to deal with...the cleaning is brutal...alrighty then, I have spent way too much time on this...I'm gonna pop in a 'Tim Hortons' french roast pod in the machine...

Lawdy, I spent hours and hours of time watching the collegiates play football yesterday...no vested interest...ha ha, at least not monetarily....as UO and SDSU were bying it out...but, it sure seemed like the teams that I was rooting on, ALL LOST!...North Carolina giving #1 Clemson all they can handle, and lost it on a 2 point try to win at the buzzer...I say great idea, but, horrific play call...OSU, like in the Beavers...had to delay the start of the game, due to a lightning scare...I believe the FIRST time ever in Corvallis...had a terrific 2nd half, only to lose it to a Stanford FG at the buzzer...listen, Larry, your team is getting better....Wisconsin beating Northwestern, as the NW coaching staff were calling the most bizarre plays...egads...and the LaLa teams both got beat...but, like I said above, they are improving...and Utah took it to WSU...as much as I like the HC Leach of the Cougs, he is NOT a good loser...

Let's get into the impeachment inquiry...the House reps are on a 2 week hiatus...back into their own areas...to get the feel of the people, I reckon...or, to take a few days to catch their breath...maybe play a round or two of the game, golf...something...perhaps, they are studying...listening to the info out there...cuz, when they return to DC...all Hell will break loose...

The opposition, Trump, has been himself hitting the links....and producing his very own Tweetstorm...defending, accusing, berating, badgering, creating...new avenues of his smoke screen...accusing others...attacking previous administrations...anything, kids...to take the heat off of himself...he wants the 'impeachment' to not happen...and is trying to find a way to block it...sorry, Dude, but it is there in the ways of the land...the laws that protect us all....

So we watched the culmination of the summer long reality series, Big Brother...the 'showmance' got to the final 2...when has that ever happened...but, the ending, spurned on by the host, Julie Chen Moonves...ah, she added her hubby's name last year, after he got into some troubles...anyhoo, in the chat after the votes were cast...brought up a racial thing that the winner will be saddled with...truly, without a chance at redemption...I thought it was bogus and extremely disappointing...not that the right guy won, but the way he was interviewed...bad TV...

Want a trip (Linda Tripping) down memory lane?...with your fav Republican Senator, Lindsay Graham...(Lindsey?)...as he was in his earlier years on the Senate Floor, doing a rousing speech on circumstantial evidence of Bill Clinton...to the NOW, as he blindly supports, maybe protects, the same sort of thing with Trump...hilarious!...the joke is on him, even more so, as Donny isn't really a Repub....ha ha...let's just call this a Graham Cracker...I digress...

I keep a looking...but have not seen the peops commenting on the iPhone 11...what is the verdict, kids?...I have read the pros and cons, but not anywhere the REAL people commenting...

The final game of the season for the mighty Padres...who lost in dramatic form yesterday...as SD was cruising along...and then gave up a grand salammy in the 8th and, of course, lost again...makes no diff who the opposition is, er was...ah, is this negative?...duh...

We cruised the bay yesterday...on our bikes...lots of things changing...a permanent outdoor venue is being built where the temporary 'Boston Pops' played...the Brigatine is in the 40% phase right on the bay...cool...a humongous 3 stage extravaganza is to be held right by the Courthouse Bldg....where on earth are the people gonna park?...and, I have read or heard nothing about it...wonder what it is for?...the weather is...perfect...

And this...I got a memo from big Larry...that is was snowing in our last wannabe city, that we were seeking out to live in...Bend, Oregon....really?...not even October yet...listen kids, we are not totally closed to leaving the zoo, for the great PNW....but...
