It's Just An Opinion

It's a grand weekend, kids!...time to put the negatives on the down low, that is if you can...the east coasters do not have the option...as they brace for that hurricane that has been devastating in the Atlantic...and now in the mainland...so the Horse is torn about talking in superlatives...knowing that there are those out there, not thinking that this weekend is so grand..,

Let's hit the positive side, anyway...we had Date Night last evening...and we are saying that the commitment to staying in the hood, was a great one...took the Uber to Little Italy for a superb dinner at Buon Appetito...for you who are aware of this little Italian Gem, you KNOW what I am talking about...da best Caprese Salad, anywhere...the main courses we had, ha ha, lasagna for moi, and cannelloni for Marsh...then jaunted up the street for a chocolate martini for a nightcap...like near perfect...

A funny thing happened on the way to the....our Uber driver...talked with a unique (to me) accent...he is French...and somehow, listen kids, I don't know how...we got to talking similarities of France and the USA...and Trump...and he broke out laughing...appears that his roommate is a strong supporter of Donny...ah, until he got injured...and didn't have any insurance...alas, the affordable Obamacare was the option...he is no longer a supporter of the blonde (bleached) bloke that presently inhabits the White House...he now believes that Donny appeals to the very rich, which he is not...hmmm...

Looking forward to next Tuesday...as we have tix to Carrie Underwood!...we have seen her two or three times...puts on a terrific show...it's over at the old Sports Arena...the name has changed at least 3 times since we have been here...the local 'Indian Casinos' buy it...anyhoo, it's a must see thang...no lip-syncing for this lady...

The mighty Padres are playing the Colorado Rockies, over at Petco...ah, like home...the Rockies came into last eve, sporting a NINE game losing streak...the Pads had a 3 game loss one...right...Buddy Black's (SD's fired boss) got revenge, 3-2...keep it positive, Horse...how do you spell i-m-p-l-o-d-e?...

The NFL blokes (and these are usually running backs) who holdout until the real season starts...some think it's for the extra cash...forcing the owner's hands, er, pocket books...yes...and partly to save their bods for the year...think about this...the starting QB's rarely play in the month long pre-season games...but, the guys who have the shortest life span in the league, are the running backs...the wear and tear....and constantly taking the beating on their body...the normal length of longevity in the NFL?...4 or 5 max...I get it...

Game day...the two teams that I follow the most, the UO Ducks and the SDSU Aztecs...the Duckies host the Nevada Wolf Pack...last line I saw was 24 1/2...it will be closer than that...and San Diego St goes to LaLa to play them Bruins...Chip's team...get this...the Aztecs have never, ever, beat UCLA...tied 'em once...listen, kids...with the anemic O we have, I sense another day of futility...hey, and...can OSU (the Oregon one) beat Hawaii on the islands?...the home team throws the ball silly...can the Beav D handle this?...we'll see...

September 20...hey, it's a date worth putting down...in your calendar...ah ha, for moi, it is number 45 for the marriage...what do you give for that?...AND, it's the opening day for the movie...Downton Abbey...yup, the clan will be seeing it on the big screen...just lurve that show...hey, that's it...take the lil woman to the show on the 20th...

Well, not to be totally classless....about the anniversary...I did get tix for probably the most romantic sanger of our generation, Johnny Mathis...the same weekend as the date...5 stars...ah, for the first time in 16 years, we are NOT going to Maui...so, in lieu, I got her a new cooktop to keep up with the fancies that live above us...OK, not the best of gifts, I admit it...she is getting me new spectacles...as it is apparent I am not appreciating what I am seeing...thus, my eyes must be out of focus...

I told a story on the Travato Facebook site...and answered 'tongue in cheek', that the guy in question, 'must have been a Trump supporter'...egads, all Hell broke loose...don't anger the Travato peops...rather than verbally fight the blokes and gals (yes, more than one took offense), I elected to cancel the comment and original post totally...I mean, IT'S JUST AN OPINION!...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
