Calm Before The Storm

Hi and a great hello to you out there in this great big world of ours...how was your weekend?...pretty dang good here...as we are prepping for a Cosmo trip to the Grand Canyon...egads, news out of there, is that some bloke jumped to his death yesterday....well, you will not see me get even remotely close to those edges...I can take pix from a goodly distance away, just fine, thank you...and I do plan on getting one to add to my collection, for sure...

On a personal note, the Horse is going to go without shaving for the length of the trip...ah, just to see how ratty I can be...so, prepare yourself for a whitish stubble that resembles...well, I dunno, and we'll see what it looks like...now, that ought to make you come back for some pix...ha ha...

The calm before the storm...as the House is getting ready for the next levels of impeachment...perhaps, securing the 'whistleblower' to speak to them...so it is rumored...the list of subpoenas are getting readied...I have one big hope in that list...to have Rudy Giuliani...on the Congressional floor...his act is worth all of the drama that he brings...and, he can't keep his mouth shut...regardless if Trump wants him to stay silent...he can't do it...Rudy that is...

Bizarre, bewildering, and blatantly misguided...the Trump Tweet that used a Texan Evangelical quote...that said that if Donny was impeached, that would leave the country in a civil war state...?...I must quote it properly...."if the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal."  Pastor Robert Jeffress....

Jeffress is a First Baptist Pastor in Dallas, Texas...and rather than me tell you what he stands for and or believes...there is a must read about him on Wikipedia...and you can judge for yourself...

Continuing on the bizarre...Trump has tweeted that he needs to be able to meet his accuser...he has that right, like all Americans do...hmmm, interesting....what is that action called?...listen, dude, you will probably see enough of him in the next month...just not face too face...

CBS News report that the public has changed their minds when it comes to impeachment on Trump...now, it is 55% approve...and the Demos are off the chart...this ball is rolling...

ABC News has a poll out that shows nearly two thirds (64%) of Americans believe Trump's encouragement of a foreign leader (Ukraine's) is a SERIOUS problem...

I think we have to watch very closely to what Trump may try to do to this situation...the government is at stake...show your leadership, those of you in Congress....

Alrighty then...

Sport talk...the MLB teams that didn't make the playoffs (the mighty Padres included) start their blame game...usually do the easy thing...fire the manager...rarely the GM...which I believe is at fault...they are the ones who put the team together...this may rile some of you beisbol purists, but I think this game is the least one affected by game management of all the major sports...so, the key is to bring in the best players...simple...done...AND...get the GM out of the locker room...then, let the field manager, work his guys HIS way...however simple that may be...the key is how the bloke handles the personalities, not so much the game...itself...

As you know, I watch the NFL via the Red Zone...the only way, kids...cost $39 bucks I think...I don't miss the mindless drivel that the announcers and analysts give you on individual games...

When did it become the pattern for TV play by play guys and gals, to question what is happening on the field?...'should have kicked the XP'...'should be running the ball'....just call the game, guys and gals...you are NOT experts...your theory has NO place in my mind...shut up...egads, that's a bit harsh, but...TRUE!...

I know some of ya'll are crazy arse golf fans...but, this wraparound season is a bust...give the players and the fans a break...let them go home and hone their skills...you got to rest...

Speaking of polls...when you play BYE, it usually costs you a spot or two...not this week, tho....as the Ducks remained 13th...this is a good thing...

I made a comment on the possible problems with the coaching situation in the Rutgers/Michigan game...as the Wolverines pulverized 'em...and alas, the Rutgers coach got FIRED!...what, 4 games into the season?....crazy...

Oh yea, and hoop practice has already begun...no wonder we have kids playing only one sport...

And this...not sure if it was intended this way or not...or directed towards him...but...at the latest PGA event in Napa Valley...a no no...hitting onto a green, before the green has cleared...well, the NFL guy, Tony Romo, did just that...and his ball landed but 3 feet from the pin...and then...when the guys on the green departed...one of the blokes spit on Romo's ball...I saw the replay...WTH?...c'mon dude...

That's just not cool...

 Query...I saw a gal in our elevator at the zoo, who was carrying a box of Crunch Berries...like a lady of 30+...maybe 40+...ha ha, but the Q is...do they still make them anymore?...ah, the cereal?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
