You Ready For Some Football?

Morning, kids...ah, just a few too many shots or something...but the Horse is feeling it today...just how old is he, anyway?...a day at the races, Neuman Style...fun, nevertheless...for you out of towners, it is at the Del Mar Race Track...about 20 minutes north of the Gaslamp...terrific venue...

Yesterday, too, had most of the NFL teams started up this season...who do you follow?...since the Chargers bolted to LaLa, I have given my attention to the Tennessee Titans...I am mildly interested in the rookie QB's scattered throughout the league...the kid at Phoenix...the dude in NY...even though they play but a quarter, you still get a glimpse of what they can do...at that level...

For you collegiate fans, it's the end of the month...that they go...yup, can't wait...

The mighty Padres got game number 1 versus the Rockies over at Petco...this is a good thing...if we could finish at .500 that would be a major step up...baby steps, I reckon...at least that should be a goal...don't you think?...

There are so many people on edge in mass gatherings...damn, even at a grocery store...as a crazy showed up in fatigues and a rifle at a Walmart in the midwest...imagine...a motorcycle backfired in NYC, and the crowd thought that it was a shooter and the people were running everywhere...the headquarters of the USA Today got a phone scare, and they had to vacate their building...and on and on...listen, be aware of your surroundings...

The PGA Tour starts up their playoffs...a weird sort of series that plays at the purse strings of the ever rich golf blokes...in the minds of most, is how Tiger is faring...not well...as his back has flared up, again...and he is purnt near at the bottom after round 1....the season has been very strange...as there has not been a dominate guy...lots of first time winners...I think I heard that Tiger just withdrew...

The Futures?...down some today...but, shouldn't be earth shattering...

According to the Morning Consult Poll, 70% of Americans support a ban on assault weapons...ah, what is the % of Congress Reps and Senators that have the same Q?....I'm sure not 70%...they represent their constituents?...think about that for a bit, when you vote in 2020...
