Who's Sorry Now?

Morning, kids...as I have spent the am reading my 23 sources...it amazes (Bachelor term) me how many pundits have their opinion on who 'won' the debates...ah, some ask for $ to read on, after the tease...but listen, we watched it all...both nights...and have our own conclusions...every bit as informative and accurate as the others...in brief, the 2nd nite was the Biden/Harris Show...each were taking hits from the wannabes...they survived...

One person did emerge as a potential candy man, Cory Booker, out of New Jersey...he appears to be a voice of reason...likable, and kind of brought the 2nd nite back into focus...a couple of times...as the real issue is who can take down Trump...REALLY, much more than the items that can change the country for the good...as, the biggest way to do that, is to get elected...and rid ourselves of what is in the White House right now...

No, I do NOT have my mind made up on the best candidate...there are positives and negatives to them all...I do HAVE the top six...and that's where this should go to NEXT...as we prepare for the most important election in a very long time....here they are...Biden, Harris, Booker, Sanders, Warren, and Mayor Pete...the drill is there...keep pushing...prepare them for the insults...the onslaught of negativity that will come their way...find the right one that can handle that and stand toe to toe...with Trump...

So interesting, that following the debates, the Michigan native and forever rights protestor, Michael Moore, was on MSNBC...and he, eerily, said the same thing that the Horse has been...that the best candy woman isn't even in the race...who could bring the ogre to his knees...Michelle Obama...that she needs to be drafted...the commentators, former Prez O people, said that she wasn't interested...still...

Let's rock and roll...

Somehow, the Arizona DBacks let go of their star P, Zach Greinke...as the trading deadline finished up yesterday...sent him packing to the Houston Astros...which just solidified their favorite roll into the World Series...what did they get in return?...4 or 5 minor leaguers (ha ha prospects) and some cash...all other trades fail to live up to this one...big time move...

One of the most interesting lines of the Debates last eve...was by the Senator out of NY, Kirsten Gillibrand...as she was asked what she would do as the first order of business, if elected Prez, "Clorox the Oval Office!"...I can't make this stuff up...

So I made mention about the Cleveland MLB dude who threw the ball into the CF bleachers as he was about to be removed from the game...well, they traded him...ha ha...he is now still in Ohio, but he followed the ball into Cincinnati...Trevor Bauer...

The good thing...I shot an 83, with two birdies...the bad thing?...I had 6 three putt greens...SIX, hey there is that number again...and ALL of those were for birdies...and got bogeys...what a spaz...probably one of the best tee to green days I have had...like ever...you do know, I am a hack, right?...

The missus and I are contemplating a joint venture out to Del Mar...to take in them hosses...I have to do some practicing...just not sure she is aware of this, yet...when she awakens, I am going to tell her she agreed to it, before she went to sleep...

Somewhere lost in the talks...is the notion of how brutal policing can be...not only the world, as some would say...but, on the local level...having the everyday job as a policeman or policewoman, is extremely dangerous and let's be honest, HARD!...insomuch, as many police forces are undermanned...

In the world of what the heck?...a grad of Dancing With The Stars...who propelled herself into other things...ie, judging...singing...Julianne Hough...became a star, so to speak...got married...and gave a most bizarre interview...that she told him, like after 4 months of marriage, "you know I'm not straight"...wait, what?...

Who's Sorry Now?...could be the statement of the hubby above...but, I am referring it to the classiest pop singer of ALL TIME in the 50's...Connie Francis...want a treat for your ears and your Beats?...listen to an album of hers...almost like she is crying as she sings...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
